That's because it is. The very foundation of Feminism is anti-male sentiment.

It seems like many moderate MRAs and moderate Feminists could agree on things such as genital mutilation.

Referring to circumcision as genital mutilation is an act of misogyny because it takes the spotlight away from women and asserts that the two are comparable.

Sure. But feminists would need to make significant changes to their movement.

They’d need to:

Reject patriarchy theory and misandrist beliefs

Apologise for monopolising the gender discussion

Support men to advocate for themselves outside of the feminist movement

Share funding with men’s groups

Admit they have manipulated research for political gain

And probably a few more things

Not without fundamental changes.

The feminist goal to advantage women over men, and the Men’s Rights goal of equality are fundamentally opposing goals. You can’t advantage women and have equality for men. Consider that many of the discriminatory laws the MRM wants to address are a result of feminist lobbying efforts.

Egalitarianism and the MRM are currently much more similar philosophically.

No I don't think so. There are egalitarians who call themselves "real" feminists for some reason. However, they are mostly a myth because they have never achieved anything more than comments on Reddit, without being criticized by regular feminists.

The only way for men to be semi good is to be ashamed of being male and share their belief that men are these “evil” beings that oppress women just by existing.

The whole reason men's rights became a thing is because of feminism only helping one gender with their issues whilst silencing the other's. So no I don't think that's possible and if it was we probably wouldn't be calling it feminism.

Feminists dont recognize there are such thing as men or boys issues.

Boys lagging in school is seen as boys have lost privilege. Fathers issues is seen as men have lost privilege in the family. Male victims of DV are seen as male perps pretending to be victims to confuse the shelters and trick everyone and we need to "believe all women". Male suicide is persistently derailed with "but, but, women attempt suicide more". You get it? Every single fucking male issue has an answer to why its not a real issue and doesn't need focus.

You do realize feminism is an ideology right? Men are the oppressors and women are oppressed. Male issues are seen as the oppressor's issues. That there are no male issues, it's just men angry we're losing our male privileges.

They could, but they won't. MRA is in direct opposition of feminist concept that focuses on enabling women to have all the choices possible to have the most fulfilling life they can, while also offloading consequences of these choices upon men and society as much as possible.

MRA focuses on the idea that men should have choices as well on a number of topics that women and especially feminist movement itself REJECTS, even if they give principled support in terms of empty words when pressed in a serious debate. Feminist movement actively sides with whatever ideology when it comes to achieving their agendas - be it liberalism or conservatives, mainstream ideology umbrellas of our day and age in US.

So, as long as Feminism is focused on such imbalanced approach, you cannot expect it to be anything else than zero-sum equation, with each new change involving strict change where one party benefits and other loses from new rules. This doesn't have to be like that, but it does thanks to Feminism and MRA will thus NEVER accept to "incorporate" into that kind of narrative to be "men's lib" BS that is basically a trap for all those men unaware of their ulterior motives.

If you want to witness it, for either feminism or "men's lib" in particular, just start some of the topics such as man's right to chose on fatherhood, DNA paternity tests, circumcision laws, list is very long but you'll quickly realize that you're going to be kicked out of any discussion and labeled as "misogynist" and if they can they'll also make sure to harass you and f*ck you up even beyond that in real life. That's Feminism, that's also "men's lib" (basically feminism in disguise). Don't waste your energy or efforts on these ilk, I'm telling this for your own good.

No. A group of people whose basic tenet is patriarchy and oppression and victimhood of women is incapable of fighting for actual equality.

Maybe what we need is a real egalitarian movement.

Gen Z women are brainwashed. Feminism in the 21st Centry has brainwashed women. A balance for both genders must be established but that will only happen in perfect world.

Something for equality shouldn’t have either genders name in it. Feminism nor masculinity movements. Someone should coin a new term and movement bc that one is already tainted.

Yeah absolutely! I’m a female feminist and there are plenty of other women in this group aswell, feminist or not, that are willing to learn about the issues men face me help support mens activism and the men’s rights movement. The men’s rights movement is still a very fresh movement so will understandably have alot of push back, particularly from feminists, but slowly feminists like myself are becoming more open minded and willing to listen to and understand men’s issues and become advocates. Most feminists agree that the issues men face need to be rectified but they feel threatened by the men’s movement since it’s been given a bad rep but slowly more women are actually researching the men’s rights movement and agreeing with most of the things it stands for
