As a 30 something man who has had a lot of issues with anti-male attacks and shaming, I've really enjoyed my time here and it's been consciousness raising.

Going through my front page today brought this to my attention, and honestly I thought it was something from /r/politics. Not only that, but it is currently the second top link.

Firstly, it's absurd to suggest that someone that keeps making documentaries despite death threats is spineless. You might not like his films or agree with his position, but the man has balls of steel.

Secondly, I completely disagree with his point that women don't start wars and aren't violent. But it's pretty fucking easy to disprove that and attacking the man is not a valid substitute for attacking his position or opinion. People that do this are exactly the sort of people that we do not want in the MR movement.

I'm as angry as the next person about how screwed men can get in modern western society, but randomly insulting academy award winning documentarians because you don't like one of their ideas is really not the way to get the message out there in a mature fashion.

TL;DR: Ad hominem attacks are fallacious and immature. Grow up.
