Similar to the question of women in power, why aren't there more hugely successful women who are entrepreneurs. I mentioned this to someone in the other thread:

Think about all the successful entrepreneurs. People like bill gates, steve jobs, mark zuckerburg. Were they faced with discrimination when creating their businesses? They built themselves up from the bottom and rose to the top. Why aren't there more women that do this. There is nothing stopping women from becoming hugely successful entrepreneurs.

My point is, if women are being discriminated against when being chosen to be high level executives or congressmen, why don't more women focus on getting to the top on their own? As an entrepreneur, you have much more control of where your success lies and discrimination would be way less of a worry, but we don't nearly see as many hugely successful women entrepreneurs as we see men. The one I can think of that comes to mind is Oprah.

As a side note. In theory women get paid less than men for the same job. Why not start a company, hire only women, pay them less for the same work, destroy your competition, then revel in your success?

Thanks.
