Agreed. People are finding excuses to not get the shit done they should get done. They want a man / woman and some fuck but ohhhh mortgage is so high "my life is so hard I don't have time" and then they come home and watch sitcoms and reality tv for hours when they should be working out or reading or finding pleasure in other things.

Most of that mind set comes from single mothers. Who have no idea how to raise a boy, so they raise the boy to everything they don't want to fuck. You know, kind, considerate, polite, passive, waits for things to happen to him, etc etc. Everything you wrote OP is directly related to (since the late 60's) most boys not having father figures. Thus creating a self feeding loop of feminine thinking boys.

One of the features of our current gynocentric society is the promotion of the victim identity and the idea that there is power in powerlessness.

What this does is allow victims to disown any responsibility for their lives. Others are responsible for their lives, their choices, intentions, ability to get back up after being knocked down and ownership of their decisions. If victims can manipulate others to buy into this, they can get power without the usual costs that come with it.

This works for women because they have vaginas and a plentiful supply of white knights willing to be manipulated.

Adopting a victim's mentality is a disaster for men because nobody likes, respects and very few are willing to help a weak, helpless man.

Another example of how following a behavioral model promoted by women is ruining many men.

You are doing here what you don't like seeing in others. It seems to me that you are projecting. The thing is, life exists but the idea of self, the idea of the things I should do to fit, these are beliefs systems not connected to life itself. Even if you believe you can control everything in life, through life, life is just bigger than you and will end you at some point. Life is just you being present and conscious of now, and taking responsibility the most you can. We have one life and the only winner of your life is yourself. But never pretend you can deal with things when you feel and know you cannot.

The problem with the "my life" statement as u call it is that it gives people an excuse to not be better. "Damn my life sucks". Yeah well if u got your shit together i bet it wouldnt suck. But that requires work and discipline, and i dont have time for that in my life of internet porn, alcohol consumption and video games.

I would say you have it ass backwards and need to read the sidebar. The reason people say these things is because it is a socially accepted form of bragging and a way to establish yourself in the pack. Actually if a lot of people tell you useless stuff like this, it means they see you as a beta.

Watch what people do, not what they say. Im willing to bet that the same people who say this to you are wearing 300 USD sneakers or some other vanity thing because they actually are infatuated with themselves.

I'm a millenial. I can say this is true. I do this sometimes. I am a successful person, my CV goes to show this. However, the feeling that no-one will ever like me makes me feel the way you've listed. I'm trying to change though.

I broke up with my gf last year in February. She was very materialistic. Yes she wanted to work hard but she was spoilt. Most of our generation are spoilt brats who think they are entitled to everything. I left her because she never took my advice about not spending her dad's money and doing another three years doing a law degree (so 7 years at university). Money is hard to earn.

She wanted big things. Yeah she was clever, I had no doubt about it that she would live up to what she wanted. However, I was going through a difficult time. Working in investment banking our bank was making cuts. She wanted me to fly over to TX to see her. I couldn't see her because they were making redundancies at the time. I've sent people right in front of me being told to leave. It was a stressful period. On top of that I had to plan about our future, set up a fund etc.

The more I think about this generation, the more it annoys me. It feels like they haven't been exposed to the real world.
