I'm from Iraq and people might serve a lot of plant-only foods and no one would even know that the food is vegan. The word is non-existent to them. It is simply unnecessary for the vegan to do anything since ANY vegan diet is by definition available to ANY non-vegan. On the other hand, a non-vegan diet is not available to a vegan, and therefore, it would be nicer for you to leave some plants for them.

What is stopping them from eating meat is the same reason why they are vegans in the first place. If you have a similar reason, you can explain it to your vegan friends. Unless they have an allergy, they're making a choice not to eat animal products and there's nothing actually stopping them from eating meat other than their arbitrary choice. Meat-eaters shouldn't be expected to go out of their way to pander to somebody's arbitrary choice not to eat what's being served when there's perfectly serviceable food right in front of them.

Why are you saying something like this? I am a vegan and I always feed my guests with whatever they want. BUT many vegans and vegetarians feel the need to prove to meat-eaters, that a meatless meal can be a good meal, too. So maybe that is why many vegans try to serve you their favorite meals when you visit them (if you ever do). If you "cook" for a vegan guest, all you do is cut some paprika and buy a vegan dip. Well, awesome! But if a vegan would have to cook for you, than you are expecting them to prep dead animals, which many of them do not want to get in contact with. Cooking meat is really on a whole different level than just buying and / or cutting some vegetables and fruits. And to be honest, a plate of vegetables is not really a meal.

No it's actually the fact that the two main risk factors for heart disease are typically not part of a vegan diet. Cholesterol is only found in animal products, and saturated fat is mainly found in animal products. That's why vegans have the lowest rates of heart disease (the number one cause of death throughout the world).
Yes you're right though that vegans have to eat more food to get the same calories since plants are full of satiating calorie-free fiber and not a lot of calorie-dense fat found in many animal products.
