A problem I've noticed about Seddit lately

I am sure I can speak for all the moderators here, we all have a negative opinion of FRs that are all bragging and have no self-analysis and no attempt to link the events with known seduction principles. Those posts are often deleted.

One thing I don't like is field reports about #closes that haven't been followed up. Getting a number isn't difficult. What you need is a number that's verified, and one that the girl responds to when you call or text her.

I'm certain that a lot of these enthusiastic, "eye-opening" field reports end up with "tried to call her, she didn't answer, texted her, she didn't answer".

So, if you want to write about a #close, at least check that she responds to the number first. [edit] Better yet, set up a date first.

I agree completely! But, what's been bothering me lately are the replies to requests for advises. Some of the replies I've read are more in line with what AFCs would normally do. When a person, who doesn't understand seduction, gives advice, they do it only to feed their ego. In reality, this is what I see when I read those replies, "Guys, look, I posted a reply, you should believe I know what I'm talking about and get laid every night! Please give me karma. I need it to validate my existence, even though I really don't have the attention of women."

I notice a lot of field reports that starts telling how bad and shy they were a month ago.

After explaining how they got some k-close last night, they end up telling you what to do as if they were on the market for 5 years.

Also many times with these stories it feels like im reading a james bond script, where everything goes smooth and OP has everything under control the whole time. I dont really think thats how things happened

I think Field reports would be AWESOME if:

We encouraged more failure reports. I'm guilty of filtering my reports, but from here on out, if I fail, I'm writing about it.
We adhered to the S.T.A.R. method that is commonly used in interview responses. STAR stands for "Situation, Task, Action, Results."

Here's what I'm thinking:

Situation: Self-explanatory. You describe the venue, you describe what you're wearing, what's going on in your mind that night, who you're with, etc. Just a good intro.
Task: Introduce the set(s) and the strategies you employed. This means that you're going to talk about DHV, teasing, kino, wingman, AMOG disarmament, etc.
Action: The tactical things that you did to execute the strategy. You DHV'd by making friends with the bartender, held your head up, and introduced yourself to the girl and all her friends? What kino did you escalate with (I fucking hate HATE HATE Field reports where the reporter goes "...and then I performed kino..." This section should be long and specific.

Now, the task and action steps can cycle repeatedly. You're going to use multiple strategies and you're going to use multiple tactics.

Results: Finally, you can brag and debrief. Did you F-Close? Good. Tell us why you think you did. Did you fail miserably? That's too bad. What do you think would help? What do you think you need help with?

It's simple. If we followed these guidelines, we'd be learning way more than we're learning now.

we need both the "braggy" post as well as the analytical ones. upon discovering this subreddit, the success stories were a part of what drew me in, as much as the posts that represent the core idea this community is based on.

The way I approach field reports and pretty much anything on seddit is to take it with a grain of salt. Nothing that people say here should be taken as universal facts, only as advice and suggestions. A field report by its very nature shouldn't be taken too seriously, it's a very subjective recollection of one situation. Even Mark Manson in the ever-popular book Models says that nothing he says works universally and he's just saying what works for him. With all the abbreviations and terms used these days seduction can almost feel like a hard science, but at the end of the day it's really just people giving their opinion on what works for them. The way to get the most out of this place is to judge for yourself what is bullshit and to test out the advice that you think works.

I am admittedly susceptible to this. Usually when I read through a new post and realize it's more crank yanking than helpful, I delete it before it gets posted. This post will help me be mindful in the future. You're completely right that posts should give value to the community above all else. Kudos.

although it is not on your main point (i get what you are saying though), i want to give you the advice to not fully give up alcohol. there are two things you have to acknowledge about alcohol. one thing is it lifts your mood, makes you talkative, let's you engage in more risks - you know that. the other thing is that you will have a hard time talking to sober women when drunk, but it will be similar if you are sober and she is drunk. so the key is not abstinence in my opinion but moderation. alcohol becomes a problem if you loose control over your body. you also want to have fun for yourself seduction is not work, so if you want to drink then drink.
