There was this old sitcom years ago called Cupid. Basic plot: Cupid lost touch with humanity, God throws him down to Earth to live as a mortal, he can't come back up until he's matched 40 pairs of people (or something along those lines.)

He spent most of the series hanging around guys who were basically romantic losers, trying to teach them how to hit on girls. I remember one part clearly: he brings half a dozen of the worst cases into a bar, has them all chip in $20, and tells them that whoever gets turned down the most before the end of the night gets the entire pot. Cue extremely funny montage of the worst pickup lines you've ever heard, with the occasional "omg you're so funny let's go back to my place".

End of the night rolls around and they've all gone home with someone. I'm pretty sure Cupid kept the pot.

Here's a mission for you. Get shot down 10 times in a row.

I'll almost guarantee it you won't ever make it to 10, even if you try. The direct approach is far more effective than most people realize.

Seddit sometimes gets people who like to deliberately try to get shot down, by using rude openers guaranteed to cause offense. There was even an in-field video by two guys doing this in a mall, in a couple of cases the women even hooked and showed attraction and he kept trying to be rude and blow himself out. I personally don't like that sort of "exercise." We all have enough failures, no sense burning through dozens of approaches unless you're learning something positive, not something negative. We can all blunder ahead and fail, we already know how to do that. IMHO it is better to try to push your limits without regard to whether you'll get blown out, and this seems to be the intent of the OP's post. You will get blown out a lot anyway, no matter what you do, so better to escalate fast and see how hard you can push it. I saw one recent mPUA video, he said "compliance is just you being aggressive and she accepts it." You be aggressive, up to the point where you don't get compliance.

I tried this at a very large nightclub that I went with some friends. Don't do it around your afc friends. Same thing would happen every time. I approached maybe 5 sets, kino'd heavily and was extremely confident and just starting to establish who I am to these girls, and my friends would push me aside and apologize, "Sorry abbottizer must have had too much to drink." and walk away pulling me. If I attempt to get back into that set, I would come off as desperate or needy so I'd leave it at that. Every time, they'd tell me I came in too strong, too bold, came off as a tool etc etc. I know they're good friends and are generally well intended, but at the same time what they are doing is ejecting before I get a chance to pull the trigger (go for a close) to avoid any possibility of getting shot down. I went off on my own that night and closed 2 numbers.

Looking back, maybe I was a little douchey and came off as a tool because I'd sometime obnoxiously interrupt their own conversations or handle them too roughly. But doing so was by choice, and I felt really pissed that my friends would essentially cockblock every chance i had. At one point, I opened non-aggressively (like Hi. Where are you girls from?) and friend pulled me out right away from the set. I asked why, they said oh sorry that was his bad.

Maybe this idea is too corny, but I heard about it years ago and have always wanted to try it.

You know the customer loyalty cards at Subway or whatever where you buy 8 sandwiches and the 9th is free? You make up a silly "Rejection Card" and joke with girls that have shot you down that after 8 rejections you get a <<free drink or whatever>>.

Like your idea it kind of helps put you in the frame of mind that you're going to get rejected and it's OK, and it also might just make a girl laugh and give you a new opening.

Just so you know, this sounds incredibly creepy and downright rude. Imagine some fat chick was going around feeling up all the guys in a bar... thats how these poor girls are going to feel.

It's better than not talking to people, but in the long run in life it tends to be better to set positive goals than negative ones. But if this helps you be more social, that's awesome and good luck!
