So there is a tradition at the school I go to where our band gets together on the day before finals and holds an event where they tell a bunch of mildly offensive jokes aimed at any and all groups at campus.

But this year a big controversy (resulting in an apologetic email from our dean) emerged around a poster that was put up by the band advertising this event. Cries of sexism and rape culture were all over after this poster was put up, and people were up in arms about it.

What did this poster say then?

So um, yeah. I can see some insensitivity towards an international conflict. But sexism? Sexism so bad that it required an apologetic email from our dean and an immediate request to take these fliers down? Yeah, I'm not really seeing it.

Fuck the culture we've created where we can't have any humor, any fun, any jokes, or any mildly offensive content anywhere in plain sight. You know, we might trigger someone or something. With a stripper. I guess.

Or, you know, spark protests like this at the event itself http://barstoolu.barstoolsports.com/files/2012/12/Screen-Shot-2012-12-14-at-8.56.00-AM.png
