Hello gentlemen,

I'm going to tell you about my experience with creep-shaming, but first a little about myself. I am a 21 year old male and I am not an attractive person. I am overweight, I wear glasses and my hair is kinda long and often messy, and I'm very awkward. I guess many would call me a creep, based on my appearance. Sure, I've never been called that to my face, but I know many people say it behind my back. A woman even called me a pedo once, just for talking about sex. I highly doubt this would happen to women who talk about sex.

Whenever I go to the grocery store, I have to walk past an elementary school. When I do this, I often get dirty looks. People apparently think I'm just gonna go in the school and molest children in the middle of the day. It's mostly women who judge me, but men do it too. I can deal with this, I'm used to being creep shamed, but lately it has gotten worse. There have been some teenagers lately who have caused trouble in the neighbourhood, especially at the school. They haven't harmed any children, it's mostly just drinking and messing around at night. (they don't come here when the children are at school) It should be noted that most of these teenagers are girls.

Because of the troublemaking teenagers, there have been more cops around the area lately. And I can feel they suspect me too. I'm 21 and could easily be mistaken for a teenager. The cops look at me like I'm some disgusting pervert, ready to charge at me and arrest me as soon as my head turns to the school. I normally don't look at the school but sometimes I hear a sound or something and then my head automatically turns, you know? Anyway, when those cops are around I am extra focussed not to make a wrong move or act suspicious. So far it went well but whenever they are around I feel like any wrong movement could be the end of my freedom. I am afraid to walk past the school. Sometimes I even have to go around, because I don't want to go to jail. I don't know if its an irrational fear but it makes me sick to my stomach. When was the last time a woman had to walk an extra mile, just because pedofiles exist? Oh right, that doesn't happen.

The thing that bugs me most is that the teenagers who caused all this are mostly girls. So because a bunch of girls cause trouble that somehow makes me a pedo? How is that even relevant? What am I supposed to do, just go back and dont go to the store? Am I supposed to never eat? Am I so disposable that all of society just gives me a big middle finger and wants me to rot in my own home? Just because I'm a male?

Please mensrights, I need advice on what to do. I don't want to end up in jale. Please don't tell me I'm just imagining things, I know this is real. I know the looks people give me are real.
