As I see it, the SCUM Manfifesto itself isn't a huge deal - crazy, homocidal bigots write crazy bigoted tracts all the time. The real issue is the way that other feminists react to it.

If Mark Lepine, or any other killer that feminists have tried to link to the MRM, published an anti-woman screed, we wouldn't be praising it. We wouldn't be calling it "satire" or "thought-provoking" or any other such nonsense. We sure as hell wouldn't suggest we subject school children to a performance of it. We'd condemn it and move on.

Also, "satire", really? Perhaps they should've tried explaining the joke to Warhol, I don't think he quite got it.

If there are any Swedish MRA's out there, I think it is time they demonstrate peacefully in front of the theater showing this filth. Print a few choice passage of Solanas' "oeuvre", a short bio of the psycho bitch and hand them out as leaflets.

If possible, get a copy of the play and put in evidence the misandrist parts that young impressionable children are going to be exposed to. Again, leaflets.

Finally, try to attack it as promoting hate speech, if the legislation exists. Nothing better than turning the PC police machine back on itself.
