It doesn't matter what the dynamics are, perpetual victim hood is part of the narrative now. We're in a place now where feminists will genuinely and passionately argue that the 'sexism' of office air-conditioning should take precedence over the male suicide epidemic and I've lost count of the number of times I've heard feminists say we shouldn't even consider men's issues until all womens issues are solved.

No need for thought experiments. Top feminist scholars have explicitly advocated for the limiting of the male population to ~10%, which will be used only for reproduction.

To be clear, I'm not making things up neither overstating. These are actual propositions from an established part of the feminist movement.

No, because tokens exist. Clearly women have the power in your thought experiment. It's a matriarchy. Electing a black president doesn't suddenly mean the US doesn't have white supremacy running through the fabric of its very being.

Patriarchy is traditionally defined as men holding power and women being largely excluded from it. While that fits for many countries in many time periods, it definitely does not fit here. Since only women can vote, that gives them far more power than male citizens making this more of a matriarchy.

Power is social and political power. If anyone is being excluded from either of those disproportionately, society slides towards matriarchy or patriarchy. It's easier to look at it as a spectrum rather than a pass fail check as to what does or doesn't qualify.

Well, according to feminist logic probably not. I mean back when Theresa may and Queen Elizabeth II were in charge of the UK people were still saying it was a patriarchal society.

I will admit that I almost clicked away when first starting to read your thought experiment because it is so extreme, but I'm glad I stuck it out because I actually think it is a pretty good one. It shows that the meaning of "patriarchy" can be warped to such an extent that it isn't actually describing who has meaningful power here: clearly, as a gender, the women have more power in this scenario compared to men since they are controlling society to their advantage even though a male figurehead is technically in charge.

This actually reads like an extreme parody of real life. Granted, it thankfully isn't this bad, but we still have a mainly male leadership building society in such a way as to advantage women at the cost of men. One would think that if mainly men were leaders, policies would be designed to favor men. But when you look at the facts, the opposite is true. Men are more likely/more heavily sentenced for the same crimes. Divorce courts mainly favor women. Domestic violence and rape against men is not taken seriously. Etc.

This is the insidious thing people need to understand about gynocentricism. It has infiltrated every layer of society and made men at large have internalized misandry, so that they favor women while putting themselves down. And all this is invisible. Feminists simply need to point out the fact that men hold the administrative titles, and it will appear as if gynocentricism doesn't exist. This is why it is so hard to get rid of. It doesn't need to assert itself openly. Feminists don't need to be in charge because society is already implementing their wishes for them.

If we want towards true egalitarianism, we must stop talking about the patriarchy. It is a meaningless distinction that only serves to derail the conversation while ignoring the practical reality of who benefits from the status quo.
