I do not think this subject should be up for debate. Women who become pregnant should have the choice to abort a child, up to a time limit (8 weeks is the safest and most humane deadline overall, variable in case of anomality - rape, complications etc.). But in case the woman decides to keep the fetus, the man should have the choice to help provide for the child or not. It's not fair to force someone to do something he did not consent to.

The best solution I think is: If pregnancy occurs, the woman should make the choice to abort the fetus or not. If the woman decides to keep the fetus, the man needs to choose whether he will support the child or not. After his decision, the woman can reconsider her decision, and go about with it.

Here's a case for some insight into how unfair the system is for men.

Just curious, if there is a paper abortion for men, will there be a paper abortion for women too?

For the record, I'm for paper abortions, but I do want a way to secure the financial future of the child as well.

This is one of the worst MRA talking points.

An existing child needs to be supported by its parents unless you're willing to significantly expand social welfare.

The abortion of a pregnancy prevents a child from existing in the first place.

From the look of the title I think I'm gonna get downvoted to hell and beyond but whatever... You can't compare these two scenarios, even if you try really hard to nitpick the similarities bodily dependence will never be the same to moral dependence.

Lemme give you an example: if you had cancer and the only thing that could save you was a single blood transfusion from me or whatever, even if clearly your life depends on it my body autonomy comes before everything else. You can't be forced to donate organs or anything under any circumstances because your body is the most sacred thing you have autonomy on.
This is the same with abortion: yes the child AT SOME POINT in the pregnancy can be considered a person etc. But it will still depends on the mother, that is why in my opinion the whole pro choice debate is stupid, there is no pro life movement going around telling people to donate their kidneys and lungs to save lives.
But anyway, in the end there is no clear solutions for this problem. Sex is not a contract with rules you write and sign, if you have sex without a condom then you are accepting the risk of pregnancy, no questions here, the line gets blurry if the condom broke because you clearly took the steps necessary to prevent it and it still happened, in my opinion this should clear the father of responsibility since he had no control over it.
