Probably and I agree with OP's point, but in this case, its not taken seriously because said nude baby has reproduced multiple times the picture once adult to laugh at the situation + if he is traumatised by that and filled with shame, he wouldn't have come all public with it and would have filed a lawsuit with privacy. He also has a Nirvana Tattoo lol

If this was pornography, then wouldn't all nude art be considered pornography as well? Like, the statue of David should be forced to wear clothes because it's pornographic? There is no sexual intent of the cover of this album. But, I have a suspicion that this lawsuit has nothing to do with any sort of abuse, it's really just about the money. I don't think this is really a male vs. female thing, I think it's about a guy that probably found or was approached by a lawyer that decided he could make some money from this.

If this actually makes it to court, I would have to hope any decent judge would either dismiss the case or decide in favor of the defendant. But, it's tough to tell if there's any judge that would be objective in a case like this anymore.

People would be outraged. So much so that it would never have been the album cover in the first place.

The depiction of the baby is pretty disturbing (and it was intended to be that way). The baby is maximally exposed, and in a dangerous and uncomfortable situation, chasing after a dollar. It speaks specifically to the life situation of men--you are alone, vulnerable, and nobody cares about you, unless you make some money.

I actually think this one would probably be about the same for both genders. Babies are this weird sexless thing, you know? Like, you can't really relate a naked baby to the full grown model and in the context of the Nirvada cover it really isn't sexual.

I also don't think the guy is being very sincere about his discomfort and maybe the discomfort would be taken more serious if he was a she, but I'm still very skeptical about the whole situation

We don't' have to wonder, we have to look no further than sex robots and the uproar over 'female' robots and how they should be banned according to some and if the 'female' robot portrays a very young 'person' then it is pedophilia.

And these are inanimate objects, hell from what I have read that some designers of these robots are putting in software that will shut the robot down if it is 'abused'.

Why would anyone take this seriously, period? It's someone trying to cash in, and that's it. He has tried to milk it for all its worth before this by saying it was a positive thing. Done several similar photoshoots. And he even has a giant "Nevermind" tattoo across his chest. To now say that its been a negative in his life is ridiculous, and even if it was, it was all his doing. All he had to do is stay quiet and no one would have known.

This is a very big issue and during the Renaissance people drew and sculptured naked bodies the ones with female were always censored or not shown anywhere whereas the male were never censored and were shown proudly . That is one major reason why men are attracted to sex more then women ......., For women it's normal seeing men naked everywhere . But for men seeing a women like that ,is a kinda secret experience and it attracts them towards it ..... . It's just for you seeing something irl you have seen from childhood is not a big deal , But something you haven't is a big deal....

Brooke Shields posed for provocative nude photos as a 10 year old. Years later tried to sue to have them taken down. Judge ruled them not pornographic and they're still on google to this day. So no it likely wouldn't have a different outcome if the baby was female.
