Hi everyone. I’m new to this sub. I’m a women and I don’t know what to do about my husband. He says he’s a “feminist.” I’m not. I have no problem embracing my womanhood. I love being female. I’m also 8 weeks pregnant. We have two kids - a 2 and 3 year old. Anyways, I quit my job as a teacher this past week. I’m also an MBA student in my last semester. With my grades dropping because I’m tired and feeling overworked, I needed a break. I was unhappy with the position and have been saying that i want to leave for several weeks now. The problem is he thinks it’s a bad decision. He says as a man he “can’t just quit,” so why should a woman be able to? That argument is ridiculous to me because he can’t get pregnant. We also have some issues with childcare as he has to work on some days and has to leave them with family (I’m not ok with that). So I stepped down and decided I will substitute teach. The pay is a little less, but I can focus more on my schoolwork and prioritize our kids and my health. He thinks this is a selfish decision. Is he right? Please no “leave him” comments. I am just looking for honest feedback.
