Very true. With my first husband, it was all a struggle, even just having a conversation. And of course since he wouldn't talk, wouldn't listen, wouldn't try, and gave me sex three times in three years, of course I gave up. I met someone better, my late HVM husband, who loved me, spoiled me, listened, talked, and adored me. Every time I'd come home from work, and he was on the phone, he'd say, I have to go, my wife/my bride just came in. Warms my heart to remember among millions of other things he did and said. Words are good, but every time, HVA (high value actions) for the win!

I'm going to rather boldly propose that we introduce a new acronym: HVA ("high value actions") as a way of identifying behaviors by men that are high-value (even when we don't know enough about them overall to confidently proclaim them HVM).

It can be hard to find HVM, but we can all benefit from focusing on HVA out in the wild and looking for them from men that we know.
