"By telling girls that no deed can be kept secret, that their bodies will reveal them no matter what, we have endowed them with fear"

Patriarchy not only turns men against women, and women against each other, but also women against themselves. We have been taught to hate and mistrust even our own bodies.

Great informative video, thank you for posting!

When I had sex for the first time ---- (although it shouldn't count b/c it wasn't entirely consensual)------, I thought everyone could see the shame on my face.

The only difference was I was less naive. People made comments about how I looked "older" and more wise. Funny how I was more beautiful to people before and just smarter after🤔

I fucking hate misogyny.

My first time was not entirely consensual either and I wasn’t in a position to say “No” either. I was 20 by that point and feeling as though I was more an oddity for being a virgin at my age. For once, I felt shame for not being sexually active because it meant that I had not found someone to connect with meaningfully on a physical level.

But afterwards, I realized how much bullshit virginity was. I was still me but with more experience (and not necessarily good). I also reflected on the virginity con and the shaming I inadvertently participated by being looking down on those who had had sex while trying to elevate my self-worth “because I was pure”.

The only thing I was was purely naive and insecure. People act like virginity is like a freshly baked pie, that once someone takes a bite of it no one wants it anymore. I’ve heard men call women who have slept with many people “high mileage pussies”, like they are a car that will break down after so long.

I’d hear completely misogynistic guys talk about all the women they’ve slept with/taken advantage of and in the same sentence say they “want a virgin girl to marry”. Why aren’t we looking at sexual misogynistic guys the same way we look at pedophiles?? They are cut from the same creepy cloth.

I couldn't wait to get rid if "it." I thought the whole virginity thing was comical and stupid. Just another "meat market value" and demeaning.

The funny thing is that everyone assumed I was a virgin long past the time I wasn't. It's probably because I wasn't attracted to that many people and focused on work and school, which was somehow read as "afraid" of sex instead of just not into the men around me. I would say, "No, Virgo, not virgin."

I got a few shocked remarks that seemed to convey that I shouldn't be so innocent-seeming and enthusiastic about life, as it was false advertising. Like we're supposed to telegraph that we're "used goods"? Idiots. I didn't feel "used" or different. I just felt like the one making the decisions. Mostly I chose not to once I got the whole first time thing out of the way with a nice, very good looking guy (wasn't interested in marrying him).

A few people commented along the way that I probably wouldn't have stable relationships because I didn't "save it." I thought they were weirdos. I think men like that are falsely advertizing by not clutching crosses while wearing Ebanezer beards and waving waggling fingers at women shrieking "Whore of Babylon, I shall smite thee!"

Anyway, I'm going on my umptieth wedding anniversary. I married someone who thought the whole father-giving-away-the-virgin-bride was incestuous and gross, too.

Edits: posted too soon.

Wait. The enthusiastic about life Comment confuses me. Only virgins are allowed to enjoy life? What, men WANT their dick to emotionally ruin you and make you sad and cynical? I'm very confused.

Yes, dick causes the doldrums. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

In "rage becomes her" there's scientific sources being discussed where women legitimately hate their own bodies to the point where they diassociate from it and can't feel it anymore. And this is usual in "modern" societies, they didn't just check women in the most musogynistic countries.

Coomer pedos in the chatlogs are sooo obsessed with these myths. It's bizarre how they all follow the same script and use the same manipulation tactics to get close to the underage decoys.

"So you're tight down there?" yes, an undeveloped girl isn't ready for sex.

"Don't worry, it only hurts the first time, then it feels good" sir, good sex shouldn't hurt at all. Many women have painful sex EVERY time.

Disgusting fixation on being the first one to 'stretch her out' with their micropeens.

Coomer pedos

My brain read "Comer pedos"="Eating farts" and was confused...

I don't know what a coomer is but guys like you described are so damn disgusting.

They’re obsessed with coming, cumming, cooming. That’s all they do. Monotonous job, look at porn, and groom minors on chat websites.

I hate how young women are told, "it hurts the first time", because it absolutely doesn't need to. By telling girls (and men) that painful sex is normal, even just the first time, we scare women and basically tell men, "don't both trying to make it pleasant, it's going to hurt anyways".

It's a self fulfilling prophecy that becomes true as society reinforces it. Women come to expect it, and some (myself included) develop anxiety surrounding penetration, which could lead to things like vaginismus. The bar is lowered into hell for men, who then don't stress too much on it being pleasant anyways.

Men are the impure ones. There’s nothing most of them won’t f—-k.

Virginity for women is bullshit.

For a man to place value in a woman’s virginity is the ultimate form of objectification. Women are just goods classified as used, second-hands, having had few/many owners. Nothing more than property, you want them new and not preowned, some want them decently covered so no other men can look at your goods….

In addition, it’s an interesting way of getting around natural selection. How will a woman know he is shit in bed and/or has a tiny appendage if she doesn’t know better? If we shame women enough into believing non-virgin are trash, they won’t be tempted to seek better than NVM. They will be locked in, controlled and silent.

Men take pride in being rational right until science proves them wrong about women, then they move governments and entire societal systems to follow anti-science just to hurt women. There's no reason why girls should undergo genital analysis when getting medicine/contraceptives yet they are penetrated and degraded for this as well, everywhere in america. It's fairly obvious how forcily penetrating women with often infectious fingers or hurtful items is meant to scare them away from getting help, getting medicine, getting jobs, going outside, speaking up, going to the hospital to undergo life saving treatment even.

Women are supposed to be completely silent, still, and to die early, preferably before they turn 20, in the minds of men who support these kind of myths. Women to these men are sex dolls with a pulse only meant to be masturbated into and birthing baby boys and new sex dolls. It's truly horrifying how people and maybe my own neighbours can support this way of treating women

You're 💯right.

Women's healthcare is invasive and degrading. There is no dignity in it. I changed Dr's after they lost the lab results of an STI test- they said they needed a vaginal swap for it (uncomfortable as hell) and then for the procedure nurses came in to be 'trained' to watch a sample get collected? If it wasn't all women in there, and I wasn't afraid to the point of NEEDING the test I wouldn't have had it. Then they lost the results, I only found out months later bc they can't share any info on the phone w me and I couldn't find them on the online portal -i have to come in and pay my copay to get another sample 🙄. I went to planned Parenthood instead- they gave me a STI test from a blood draw and then we're able to tell me in 5 min if my blood had reacted to the HIV test- and set me up for the online results. They didn't lose any of my tests, and when I thought I needed a pap, they told me that they changed the recommendation from yearly to every 3 years. My old Dr office never corrected that - and they would call to remind me. And these procedures are painful and uncomfortable and we are given no pain medicine- and to apply local anesthetic would be just as painful as going without -so if you don't just take the pain, you'll be in the stirrups for longer.

I'm sure for many women they either have similar or far worse experiences with healthcare. I thought because my old Dr was a woman I'd get better care- and I'm sure I did in comparison to some of the male Dr's I've seen for general problems- but reproductive healthcare for women is inherently degrading and stress inducing (like women delivering on their backs).
