You could refuse to drive her around. If someone is being a hazard while you are driving, don’t allow them in your car. One time a person decided to pull the steering wheel as I was driving and I almost ended up in the little ditch on the side of the road. Fortunately, I was driving slowly. It was one of the very few times in my life I was stern with this person, and I told them never again.

This and in the middle of the night when you're sleeping, or right as you're about to pass out.

I have always been told "the man always drives". Brings up the question, why? Why are we the chauffer? Why are we to spend our life being the worker/transport while they bring up arguments, spend time on phones/ social media? I have recently stopped going to my wife's family houses because they are 3+ hour drive each way. She often argues with me and says I'm rude because "its family" when we stay way past dark. They would then all get to sleep while I drive us home until 2am. With no regard for how tired I am driving 3 hours out at 8am, spending all day, then 3 hours back at 11pm getting home between 1-2am. That means I get to be up for 20 hours while they sleep on the way in and out.

Why are we the ones designated to this punishment?

Also the car is an enclosed space where the other person cannot leave so they must stay and be subject to the abuse.

If your significant other is always saying fights the best thing to do is not engage and simply walk away.

From a perspective, women learn psychological warfare in junior high, cat fights, rumors, gossip. And it never leaves them. They don't seem to grow up. They seem to take great pleasure in finding and pushing a man's buttons. They know the man loves them, and probably won't hit them, so they win. Grow prideful, and repeat. My wife dud, brought me to the edge of suicide. Now she's on husband number 4. I will never be stupid enough to trust love again.

Years ago several magazines recommended starting difficult conversations while "on a drive". DO NOT ENGAGE!!! Voice the fact that driving needs concentration, and "put a pin in it" until a more appropriate time and place.

That's literally what it is. Other fun times are when you're rattled over something unrelated and partly distracted, half-awake, very drunk, or trying to concentrate on something (video games, car repairs, computer maintenance, etc).

It's meant as a way to 'bypass' your logic circuits and attack you emotionally.

Yes. That's the whole point. A favored tactic by women is to unbalance you so you get agitated or angry, and then can be dismissed as "the unreasonable one," when they provoke you, you raise your voice or get angry.

Whatever comes after that point is what you should be paying attention to, because that's an across-the-board manipulation tactic.

I kinda disagree, in my case, sometimes my dad starts the arguments, sometimes my mom, mostly my dad (yeah I am still an antifeminist though he sacrifices so much for me and my sister to get us education)

I think by saying "women" you are doing some huge generalization here, which as a men's rights sub, shall not be tolerated, try using MOST or SOME in your post, also say "As per my opinion" or "I think that..." In your posts

Y’see, here’s the thing. Driving takes up part of your brain. If you are ADHD, driving keeps the Tigger in your head distracted. You just picked a fight with someone who could cut diamonds with their mind.

Just time the fuming silences for stoplights.

It seems to me that a lot of people here are missing the two most important cornerstones in a healthy relationship. Mutual respect and open communication.

Seriously, if this is happening to you whether you are a man or not it is probably a sign that your relationship might be is toxic. You all deserve way better. Oh, also this is a common manipulation technique, bringing up heavy things or starting arguments whilst the other person is at a disadvantage. Personally i ONLY argue or talk about really heavy stuff at home and when we both are full, never argue on a empty stomach. It is a very healthy boundary to set imo.

I had this issue with my X. She used these moments when I drove her around town to scream at me while I was driving. Cornered. So I asked her to get her own drivers license, and she flat out refused to do so even after offering to buy her a car. This is a common cluster B manipulation tactic that both men and women use to break their 'partner' down. Eventually, after one such 'episode' I dumped her... Found out later she had been cheating on me for a long time.
