So I’ve been lurking here for only a bit and I figured I give this a try.

I’ve been relatively unsuccessful at dating locally and in the US in general. So on a whim I decided to turn the distance sliders up to the max. I thought nothing of it and the next few weeks I’m immediately bombarded with a bunch of likes and super likes. I have talked to a bunch of them and they are all super nice and friendly to me. I was worried they were all spam bots but I only encountered at most two out of the whole bunch.

While a good portion are from Southeast Asia, a good portion are from surprising locations like Turkey and Australia. Has anyone else also noticed this? My little experiment has me wondering if American women’s standards are too high or if I am looking at low hanging fruit or am I being seen as a easy green card or maybe all of the above? I keep hearing stories of men in the US getting fed up about their lack of success in the US and immediately going overseas and having their results change. Some of these relationships even last a while, but I’ve always been told that they’re only gonna use me for a green card and nothing more so idk what to think.

For reference I’m a 24 year old Asian-American who is about as milk toast in appearance as you can get.
