It would simply drive up rates of female infanticide. Since most countries still value male children over female children. Having less males, would simply mean that girls would continue to be devalued globally and parents would increase their rate of female infanticide in desperation to get a male child.

Female femicide is already a significant problem in most Asian countries and some African countries. They'd just go into overdrive in killing female babies and female children.

Many people with these beliefs are coming to America to sex select their births, since their countries are making it illegal to abort female babies due to the growing sex disparity in their countries.

There would have to be a global shift in preference or non-negative perception of having female children over male children, for lower male births to become a demographics problem globally. The desire to have male children most is too culturally ingrained for a natural occurrence of a higher female population to exist. Most humans will just kill the female children as they have done through most of human history.

Basically with the deficit of marriageable men, women started marrying younger men, which lasted for a few generations.

Of course that was a sudden and catastrophic event compared to an slower decline.

Its already well known that boys outnumber girls in terms of births but thats typically due to boys being more likely to die earlier in life so it tends to evens out,

I heard it was rather due to female embryos being more likely to fail. And then it evens out due to higher male mortality after birth. Usually evens out in their 20s or early 30s depending on the country.

Would anything change? If so would it be drastic? Would we see a reversal in the importance of which sex is more valuable? I know most of us won’t live to see the results but it should be a slight cause for concern.

We would need to study russia after WWII, it basically had 1 man for 2 women.

I wonder too if it was a good place to be as a man.

What is the declined attributed to? Abortion rates or medical progresses improving female embryo success rates?

In developed countries there already are more women than men. This is the case in all countries with a higher average age of the population, because sometimes from the age of 40 there are more women than men in the population, and the higher the age, the greater the numerical superiority of women.

It has a practical impact on politics, for example, because there are more active female voters than male voters. So even people like Putin had to target female voters to a large extent (probably that's why the soft erotic photos of Putin on horse and stylization into an irresistible masculine male), and it was female voters who played a decisive role in getting him elected.

As for the dating market, it plays a role, of course, but for older women. And the fact that older women have a harder time find a man doesn't seem to bother anyone. Moreover, many of them simply stay single and it doesn't bother them that much either.

And to change the situation for young girls? This is difficult, because the fewer children are born in every generation, fewer young women (and young men). But young women on average date men of the same age or +5 years, so there is an increasing preponderance of men interested in these increasingly rare young women with a declining population. So the lower the birth rate and the older the population, the more screwed up young men are when it comes to dating.

Compared to this trend with decreasing birth rates, the trend with a lower number of male births will be negligible (at best, it will slightly offset it). Except, of course, for older women who will have an even more difficult time finding male partners. But does anyone really care?

Things are so bad globally that it doesn’t seem likely humanity will survive long enough for this to happen but if it did I doubt anything would change in the dating market. Currently there are complaints especially here on PPD about how women are “so picky” that they would rather stay single than be in a bad relationship. So even with less men this “pickiness” amongst women wouldn’t go away. Some men and women will pare off like they do now and everyone else will stay single. Unlike men who have a higher sex drive that pushes them to interact with women; women are perfectly happy forgoing relationships by engaging more in their social circles.

It's awesome.

There's still a bigger ratio of males in the overall world, but that's because of some Eastern countries with huge ones (so convenient in places like Qatar for example lmao).

On the western world in general, women already outnumber men and that's how it should be. (Except Norway I think, poor Norway🇳🇴)

I never thought about how many guys that I knew from high school that are dead now. But incells will always say that men outnumber women but I guess it does sort of even out as people get older. Men are out here dying left and right.

If you have 100 men and 10 women, you can get up to 10 babies.

If you have 100 women and 10 men, you can get up to 100 babies.

So a population crash of men isn't, hypothetically, the end of the world.

For dating, I think it would have to take a lot to tip the scales. I don't think it would be drastic because men tend to date younger than them, so it would take time for anyone to notice.

The standard American female is immune to any kind of logical or percentage based thinking. To them only about 20% of men actually exist anyway and the other 80% are beneath notice... unless of course they stop paying for shit.

To them life is a movie and they are the main stars. Everyone else is just supporting cast... even romantic partners who are highly disposable.

It's not a thing that's actually happening that's even worth talking about for the next 500 years.

You can take a look at newborn gender ratios in any recent data from any country, and notice that it's very rarely below 105:100.

and that imbalance doesn't even out until people start hitting late 40s, and men start dying.

Around the world, and to this day, selective abortions (in search for a boy) has been performed and it didn't change anything.

If it is due to selective abortions it would be a concern, but people still worship boys. If it's natural then I don't see a problem.

It’s only going to get worse. The estrogenic compounds exposed to male babies supposedly makes them have un or underdeveloped genitals.

You only need to inhibit one male hormone for someone genetically XY male to be raised female and look identical to an XX female.

In many parts of the world femicide is still a massive problem. However at least I my native Sweden there are news paper columns every now and then written by women saying boys are awful and that they don’t want them. They say that if the genders would be flipped it would be very controversial since it’s very feminist society but as it’s boys it’s perfectly fine. Slightly embarrassing maybe as it’s hypocritical, but fine none the less.
