What's your opinion on the conscription laws?

It is slanted against dudes for sure but 1st we have to be at war.

We would have to sustain losses so substantial that a draft is instituted.

In 2001 9/11 happened. I was honorably discharged in Sept. 2004 from my Marine reserve unit. In February of 2005, I would get a phone call from my old reserve unit that they were being "activated" and wanted to know if I was interested in coming back to support company comm. I was an infantry radio operator and had handle radio training and ran company communications from Battalion Cmd to my platoons. I declined as I had done my 6 years and was about to be married and have a son. That would go horribly wrong as well but I didn't know that then.

The point is, it took 4 and a half years to start activating just the reserve regiment and they didn't even get to a draft because plenty of dudes were volunteering and they were fighting poor people in caves and bombed out cities so losses vs new enlisted never went upside down enough to institute a draft.

Guys who defend conscription on the forum dedicated to men's rights are totally out of place. There is nothing so fundamentally opposing the most basic human rights of men as the idea that they can be treated as a cannon fodder against their will and forced to kill other people, just because they have more muscles (which not even of all of them have) and a dick.

I have said it before and will say it again.
Conscription laws are OUTDATED.

They come from the mediaeval gunpowder era, where you can just give a gun in the hands of an rookie citizen and he could effective fight at the level of an elite longbowman/archer.

The initial guns were just aim-and-hit type and had a range similar to a longbowman. But needed far less training and expertise.

So, you could just draft any rookie..

But todays warfare has become highly modernized and sophisticated.

Militaries rely on high-tech missiles, artillery, warships, and fighter jets to gain supremacy..

These machines are a weapon in the right hands and a 'liability' in the wrong hand.

Handing them to untrained dratees will only lead to more harm than good. Risk of misfire or friendly-fire is catastrophic.

In todaysl's warfare, if your country is forced to draft it's citizens to defend itself, then it has already lost the war..

Military draft will not save you in modern times.

Ideally it should be removed. If not, it should be gender-neutral.
I don't see any point in having military draft anyways.

It is true that men and women are different. A long time ago men and women both contributed by how they were best equipped by nature. Men went to war and did the hard physical work. Women had children, took care of them, and did the household work.

Later we became industrialized and had division of labor. The military/police was doing the protection and the machines doing the heavy physical work. Men were still needed, but the women couldn't see it with their own eyes in their day to day life. So women started thinking that they didn't need a man to survive.

At the same time, feminism came in to the picture. They worked to give women all the rights they wanted, but they didn't get the corresponding responsibilities. For example, women got to vote, but they didn't have to go to war.

And btw, they are using your own taxes to oppress you. It was found in a study done in NZ that men pay most of the taxes. When welfare is accounted for, the tax gap is even higher. There is no reason to assume that other countries are any different.

What you can do about this: Move somewhere else when you can. Educate, discuss with and organize other men. By the time you accumulate enough wealth to move somewhere else, you probably would have finished your compulsory military service. But you could still move out to stop it from affecting your have male children. And you will be taking your taxes and labor away from a country that is being sexist to men.

I don't mind. I did my military service. We all know men and women are not equal in reality, nor in law.

The issue is the discrepancy between what is said and done: claiming equality but pushing for ever more beneficial laws for some at the expense of others while claiming the opposite is happening.

That's why the elites love feminism. It's collective gaslighting and with it they can push policies that benefit them while pretending to do it for the greater good.

Feminist discourse is just training to reject evidence you can see, so you're more malleable to whatever propaganda comes next.

It is sexist in the sense that there are differences between the sexes. Men are more suited to war and fighting than women, therefore that is logical that men should be the defenders of their tribe's peace. The problem is that society ignores the sacrifices given not only in the past, but that will be given in the future. Men's lives are the first to be sacrificed in the defense of the freedom of speech that is being used against them. No uterus no voice? What kinda shit is that? Men fought for both sexes to have a voice.

Equality between the sexes doesn't exist. Men are naturally predisposed to being able to handle combat roles with fewer injuries. That's biology.

However, that said, we don't need to conflate feminism's hypocrisy with an argument of whether or not the draft exists at all. Two separate subjects.

To compound the matter, governments have to ask what the right tool for the job is. And that answer is men when it comes to war. It isn't out of a sense of chivalry that this is done. It out of necessity. Every society that has failed to provide protection and provision for women in the matter of warfare has ceased to be, simply because gestation periods are too long. One man coming back from a war can still supply a small village with genetic material. One woman coming back a war means the death of the group.

However, it is alright to call out Feminist duplicity where you see it, regardless of your stance on the state of conscription.

I want equity, not equality.

I see no reason why society should ignore that men and women are different. So I'm fine with society and the laws treating men and women differently.
