When my ex left in the morning after kissing me goodbye on my way to work and drove 8 hours away so there would be no chance of 50/50 custody being worked out they did not call an Amber alert. That's only for fathers alone with their children.

Luckily I had grounds that my ex was unfit due to severe post partum depression or I wouldn't know him as she tried to cut off contact when he was only 9 months.

  • 'FALSE ACCUSATIONS': Markham dad cleared by cops after Amber Alert | Toronto Sun - https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/false-accusations-markham-dad-cleared-by-cops-after-amber-alert

[–]mixing_saws 71 points72 points73 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

"False accusations never happen"

[–]vwatchrepair 40 points41 points42 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So tired of hearing idiots say this.

It never happens=the news I watch never reports it.

[–]copeharderhun 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It's funny because the % of rapes proven to be false is around the same as the % proven to be true. By their own logic rape also never happens then

Not that this is about rape but that's usually what they're talking about with that false accusation shit

[–]mixing_saws 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yo you got a link for that statistic? Im highly interested.

[–]Bundle_of_wood 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I too would like this link

[–]copeharderhun 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sure,

2-10% of rapes are proven to be false (I love how they say "only" in the article as if this isn't a HUGE percentage)

Only 0.7% of rape accusations end with a felony conviction

[–]BrooksMentality13 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You ever get the link?

[–]mixing_saws 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nothing yet.

[–]TAPriceCTR 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The FBI says 8% of rape accusations are proven false.

this claims the conviction rate is 5%. proven cases are convicted.

you'll never find this comparison on a single source that is feminist friendly (which is most) because narrative is more important than truth.

it would be just as unfounded to claim the remaining 87% are true as it is to claim they are false.

[–]FuckinNogs 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He should sue them

[–]Silly-Activity-6219 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]WiiWynn 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What a class act that dad. Chose not to incriminate and shame guilty party (likely insane ex) and just be the better man. Hopefully, he has supportive folks in his network to call out the idiots guilty of this circus.

Sue the ass out of everybody for defaimation.

It comes from years and years of radical feminism and blue pilled men constantly telling women they’re victims and doing everything in their power possible to elevate them socially, legally, professionally, and economically, at the detriment of men. If one group has to be put down for another group to flourish, then that’s not equality. That is an imbalance of power. Absolute power corrupts, which is why more and more stories of women abusing their power against men is becoming more and more common. All it takes is one accusation from a woman and you are fucking done.

Your face plastered all over the 6 o’clock news as a rapist, etc, you name it. This is also a double edge sword for women as well. Women are naturally attracted to masculine men, but most of the men in 1st world countries nowadays are so submissive because they’re just trying to stay out of trouble with women. This leads to complaints from women about the lack of “manly” men. It really is a cruel fate to exist as a man in the 21st century. We demonized 24/7 and our lives, future, right to a fair trial is often viewed as expendable.

[–]8nt2L8 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your face plastered all over the 6 o’clock news as a rapist, etc, you name it.

It's so difficult to un-do this kind of damage. As the saying goes, "A lie gets halfway around the world when the truth is just putting its shoes on."

[–]WomenRAllowd2bRacist 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm more surprised that the linked Imgur page only has 640 views after 8 hours of being at the top of this subreddit... Does this 335k subscriber community really have that little many active users? Why is reddit so afraid of this place if that's the case?

[–]heyyy-kiddo 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People don't necessarly look at Imgur direcly and some have tracking protection on.

It's smart to have adblockers and disable unnecesary content from loading.

[–]rsa1x 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I myself didn't check it directly since I could read it from here.

[–]biscuitheque 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

An Amber Heard alert would be useful too.

[–]furay20 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fun side note.

Canada goes out of its way to ignore the emergency alerts standards, and sends all amber alert messages at the highest level, Presidential. So even IF your phone allows you to disable the lower severity alerts (eg: amber alerts) its irrlievent, as Presidential alerts are still required.

There are ways around it, but still. Canada just flexing its stupidity in multiple ways all at once.

[–]Chome_gnompy 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ahh yes. I remember the good ol days of waking up to my phone alarm wildly blaring at 3 am because poor sally from thunder bay (which is 12+ hours away from the rest of ontario for reference) was driven to saskatchewan. And then have it happen again because the Einsteins who run the alerts forgot to say it en français. And then have a bunch of ladies call you a monster because how dare you not be willing to get up at 3 am to find this poor child whos literally in a different time zone.

Those ladies became strangely quite after that time our phones told us we were gonna die in a nuclear explosion except that was also a false alarm.

[–]TempleFugit 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

As an American, I have those alerts turned off

[–]EthralTV 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

We can’t turn it off here, any device connected to our cellular system gets the alert.

[–]heyyy-kiddo 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can,custom ROM,root,patches.

Someone did the work and knows how. Look at XDA Developers.

Go MGTOW and avoid all those problems

[–]mixing_saws 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

[–]wildwolfcore 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Go Amish or Mennonite

Not possible because im a technology enthusiast and work in tech.

[–]wildwolfcore 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Then flee the west and don't return. That's your only real option

[–]mixing_saws 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Maybe when worldwide remote positions become the norm. Right now i like my western lifestyle, except for dating.

[–]wildwolfcore 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Then you can't date or have kids if you don't want to deal with the bs. Western women are a product of western laws.

MGTOW it is then.

Removing oneself from the ridiculous game is how to win at it. I imagine most here would like to be fathers and have a healthy relationship but the whole point is that it’s a minefield and men are the only victims. Taking a stance and saying “we’re NOT going to drive into a minefield you laid for us” is the only way to get them to stop laying mines down.

[–]TFME1 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

If that's what you want, then adopt a child and skip the whole neurotic woman/mother part, entirely.

[–]Greek_Bazilevs 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What's the point? I want to raise my child.

[–]TFME1 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Raising a child and being a pair-bonded partner with a neurotic woman are not inextricably linked. You can do one, the other or both. I believe in doing both, if possible, but I acknowledge that they're entirely separate undertakings, if you want them to be.

[–]Greek_Bazilevs 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry, this is some English above me. I am not saying it as an insult, I really don't understand. I was saying that I want to be a father, but I don't want to adopt.

[–]TFME1 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, then make sure you do your due diligence and find a woman whose neurosis is as low as humanly possible. Ultimately, it matters little, since female neurosis can spring up any time. Sometimes, it's the neurochemical response to actual childbirth that brings out the mothers "crazy eyes". Life is an exercise in making individually acceptable compromises. Best of luck to you.

You could also find a Surrogate and provide your genetic material for inclusion, so the child is actually biologically yours.

[–]furay20 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Good luck with that.

Single, male parent? Assuming you make ANY progress, CAS will go out of their way to randomly spot check.

[–]TFME1 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Never said it would be easy. Just said it can be done.

Some men (not all) check all the necessary boxes/criteria to financially and emotionally be a single father.

[–]furay20 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not at all.

I have had the displeasure of dealing with these idiots before over an unfounded complaint, and even that was intense. If they (CAS) are given a window to screw over a males life, they absolutely will try their best to do so.

So part of the adoption process, I'd factor in having a giant retainer with your favorite lawyer for when these idiots come knocking.

[–]TFME1 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to diminish your experience or your opinion - I'd bet it's a little different than all that if it's your own child, carried by a Surrogate.

Also, different states have different outcomes, I'd imagine. Some states are deeply liberal and frown on single fatherhood.

Do you happen to live in California? I bet they despise single fathers.

[–]FuckinNogs -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Have your own kid with a surrogate.

[–]mixing_saws 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but cant the state just take my kid away or do some awful stuff? Whats the legal situation with that?

[–]FuckinNogs -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You are the only parent. State can't do shit . They let pedo Michael Jackson keep his kids.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Dude, that was all fake news. I’ll admit he didn’t have the best parenting techniques, but he never touched any kids.

[–]FuckinNogs 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Who's taking your kid away? The state has no interest taking kids from fathers of there's no mother to side with.

Why have you put a capital letter at the start of the word "amber?" At first glance I thought this was about warning Canadians when someone like Amber Heard is around.

[–]Troll_Bot_42 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

The Amber alert system initially referred to a name, Amber Hagerman, so it's a proper noun.

Then it was turned into an acronym, America's Missing Broadcast Emergency Response so he could have used A.M.B.E.R.

Most people think of it as a color now that we also have silver alerts so amber is also correct.

[+]mikesteane -11 points-10 points-9 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh, I thought it was like the traffic lights that go amber to warn you to speed up as it's about to go red.

Actually, I did think it was to do with the colour, as it is in some places, and checked on the Amber Hagerman story. Horrific!

Incidentally, I really did look at the title and my eyes jumped to the capitalised words and I immediately thought of the narcissist (former) actress.

[+]Troll_Bot_42 -22 points-21 points-20 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'd totally date Amber Heard now. Can you think of a more attractive woman with less credibility? She could accuse me of anything and everyone would just go "yeah right Amber". That and women that are that broken are always a lot of fun.

[–]mikesteane 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You'd be paying for the date though (she's a little short on cash right at the moment), and you might not get let in anywhere. Also, having started by biting fingers off, you have to ask what she might do next. And wear dark glasses to protect your eyes from her psycho stare.

[–]denisc9918 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That seems like a lot of effort just for a date with that thing..

[–]FreshThreadz1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (14 children) | Copy Link

I don't think men or women are allowed to pick their child up from school when it's not their scheduled time.

[–]Monster3gamez 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Scheduled time to get there own kid ? Wtf messed up thing is that.

[–]Ok-Hamster55711 points 3 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

Schools and daycares usually ask tor court orders. Canada largely uses a 50/50 custody split, so it may be a difference of context if you are in a different country.

[–]throwawayincelacc 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So? The point was that whatever custody arrangement he had, he was able to go get her from school. And why an amber alert then? He signed her out of school. It wasn’t like he abducted a child off the streets.

[–]Ok-Hamster55711 points 3 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

From the Halton police in Ontario:

An AMBER Alert will only be activated if:

  • police have confirmed that an abduction has taken place; and
  • the victim is a child, or a person of proven physical or mental disability; and
  • there is reason to believe the victim is in danger of serious physical injury; and
  • there is information available that, if broadcasted to the public, could assist in the safe recovery of the victim.

—- There is no requirement (anywhere) that a child needs to be “abducted off the street”.

[–]throwawayincelacc 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah yes, there’s never been such thing as misuse of police resources! Thanks for confirming that. The original Facebook post was suggesting it was misuse. What’s the point of quoting what it’s supposed to be used for?

[+]Ok-Hamster5571 -6 points-5 points-4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Peace be with you, bro. I hope you get some help with your anger issues.

[–]FreshThreadz1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

Every normal shared parenting agreement in the history of time?

You can't just randomly show up at a school and pick up your kid when the other parent was supposed to pick them up based on the custody agreement.

That would be chaos.

[–]thedeadllama 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Read the fucking article.

[–]JasgerP 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The article doesn't say anything about why they believed he wasn't suppose to have his daughter. Most parents that aren't together have specified days which they have their children. It says in the article he had picked his daughter up many times from the school so why was this day so different? It certainly is odd.

[–]thedeadllama 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He said he picked his daughter from school like any other Tuesday. Why are you so quick to attack this man and defend the woman? Is victim blaming okay when the victim is male?

[–]JasgerP 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. You're so quick to jump to conclusions. I wasn't blaming him. I simply thought it was odd that the school all of a sudden reported him for picking up his daughter (when he had countless times before). The article never mentions why they all of a sudden did.

Also the article doesn't exactly say he picks her up every Tuesday.

"But Solomon, who is no longer with his daughter’s mother, claims he routinely picks her up from school and Tuesday was no different."

It says Tuesday was no different but doesn't say he picks up on Tuesdays specifically. Just that he routinely picks her up. Its a weird situation in general.

[–]JasgerP 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Another reason I find it odd. I work in daycare in the same province where this happened. We legally cannot prevent a mother or father from picking up their child without a court order.

Which means that if a women comes in and says to us the father can no longer pick up their child, we tell them we can't legally prevent him from picking up the child without a court order.

I can't imagine the school system would be much different. Thats why its so odd that it went that far. I mean I could maybe see the school screwing up and reporting it without the proper authority. But then for the cops to go through with everything without the proper court mandated orders? Strange.

[–]PatriarchysConcubine 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know about a decade ago in CA, a daycare facility or school could refuse pickup IF it was brought to their attention that it was a volatile situation AND IF they had a copy of the orders on file

[–]63daddy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a great example of the abuse that can and does happen when accusers are believed without proof as we see with BelieveWomen.

[–]Proof-Examination574 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh great, now when a kid ACTUALLY gets abducted nobody will believe it because spiteful exes cried wolf one too many times. Thanks ladies. Hope it's your kid and not mine.
