Hi all,

My boyfriend is a firm believer of the red pill ideologies. These philosophies have led to many arguments for example, if anyone even mentions the word feminist he tries to get into an argument with them to prove they are wrong. Amongst other beliefs, he doesn't believe the gender pay gap exists, believes heavily in gender roles with the woman having feminine energy and doing all the cooking etc. He's actively told me things like 'if you want to be yourself, this isn't the relationship for you', 'if our values clash, I will ignore yours and follow my own', 'the woman should always follow the man without arguments'.

He's told me to read the 'way of the superior man' and says he firmly believes in all of this book and is a massive fan of Andrew Tate.

When I tell my friends about his expectations from me and explain his behaviour, mostly everyone has said it's controlling and manipulative. The only suggestions I've received are to leave him, however, I really care for him. I just don't know how to help him.

He has explained in the past that he suffered with confidence and anxiety and has tried to pick up women in the streets. I believe this is when he found the RP ideas and has now been programmed with them.

I'm reading through this community and there are a lot of helpful articles but I'm not sure how he would respond to them.

Thanks for any help!
