Ok so I'm in the middle of a completely pointless divorce (see other post). Pointless in the sense that there are no major issues other than she feels "unhappy" and that is reason enough for her to completely blow up our life. Maybe she has some other fellow, I don't know.

It really makes me feel better to watch some youtube channels and material in the "manosphere", keyword MGTOW. So YT channels like "Kevin Samuels", "Better Bachelor" and the likes. They really resonate with me and (pretend) to "show women for what they are" - e.g. they are talking about "the wall" that women hit in their mid 30s and that the value of men increases after 30 while the value of women declines (as health/beauty deteriorates). That women are mostly calculating and selfish and basically a man should never really fully trust in a woman (marriage as a completely losing proposition for men - I agree).

All that stuff resonates with me - it makes me feel better because I kind of also think that my STBXW will not have such an easy time as single mother with two young children and 36 years old. Yes it's petty but after what she has done to me I think I have earned the right to be a bit petty (at least for a little while).

There is still this tiny voice in the back of my head telling me that: "They can't all be like that", "There must be someone out there with genuine good heart and intentions, with a solid character that will not just monkey branch when things get uncomfortable - someone I can depend on as they can depend on me". But this voice is starting to die away and what will be left ist really just disgust for women, their dating games, their views on "not settling" and "persuing high value men", etc. etc.

On the one hand it helps me. On the other hand I feel like I'm taking on a mentality that is not particularly healthy for me or potential future relationships.

How do you guys view the manosphere?
