I was thinking about my definitions of masculinity, and then I realised there are plenty of quotes out there that explain the concept perfectly well. I also think that quote collections are underrated in general.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”-Ralph Waldo Emerson“

To be like the rock that the waves keep crashing over. It stands unmoved and the raging of the sea falls still around it.”-Marcus Aurelias

“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”-J.R.R. Tolkien

“ I am my own God. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."-Charles Bukowski

I haven’t included quotes from one of my favourite stories about masculinity/femininity, The Last Unicorn, because they’re very spoiler heavy. But if you want to see it for yourself you can for free on YouTube: https://youtu.be/UoU0Skd-8po
