Just because it is presented as data or looking like data doesn’t mean it is correct data or like it can speak for all. Source and type of research matters. Also, why do people think papers from 2000 is a good source? That’s already 23 years ago. I have seen people trying to use ridiculously outdated research as backup.

I don't feel any particular obligation to come out in support of them in those few arguments about the data that I agree with them on because I know they have a rabid desire to attack me just for the fact I am a woman and will do so as soon as possible. I leave them to fight it out alone. Never give someone who hates you with every fibre of their being an even break. Don't back them up and don't date them, they don't have even ten seconds of loyalty in them.

Those who argue against you are sincere about their disagreement. What you are perceiving is everyone making themselves absent on specific elements of the argument they personally agree about. Because an incel has zero loyalty to anyone who has a vagina and will take every opportunity to shoot a woman in the back even if in a particular aspect of a particular battle she is on the same side as him.

Cherry picking studies that suit you and denying the one who show real you doesn't make you appear virtuous

You are cherry picking studies yourself. At least use meta studies or acknowledge that other studies don't show or show the opposite of what you post. And, more importantly, don't read anything you want into a study. Studies are VERY precise in their results (when done by scientiests and not lifestyle bloggers) and often get reported on in a general way. It's more comfortable to report a study result in one sentence, than to use 10 sentences and include all the details of the study that show how limited and filled with confounding factors it is.

Dark triad is explicitly sub-clinical personality disorders. So, a mildly expressed form of this trait. They don't like full-on narcissists, psychopaths and machiavellists. And women are into mildly expressed narcissists not for their callous–manipulative interpersonal style, but for the positive, fascinting and attractive qualities that go hand in hand with these personality traits. Also, this preference is there for SHOT TERM MATES and isn't observed for preference of long term mates, because you cannot ignore the negative aspects of the personality traits in long term relationships like you can in a summer fling or a hookup. Also because you need some time to realize what's truly going on in a person.

For men, the same can be observed for personality traits of short term mates: bipolar and borderline women are preferred as short term mates but despised as long term mates. It is absolutely clear that you can have the advantage of problematic personalities in short term mates while avoiding those traits for long term partners.

having obvious height preference, is based on stated preference when asked about their ideal partner. Everyone will describe their ideal partner as way better than the standard they are willing to marry. Most women want taller men and most women are going to find them. It's ridiculous to think that most women will not date a man below 6 feet. One has to just look at real life couples. If 70% of men are in relationships and only ~17% are over 6 feet, then the height preference is certainly not a requirement.

women of all races except black having preference for white men . First, this is average data, second, of course they do in the United States. Third, you don't know the error of this statistic and you don't know the difference to the next-best-preffered race. Could be a 0.1% difference with a 2% standard error and basically be a non-significant difference for race preference. Don't let journalists do "statistics" with a biased ideology looking for certain results. It's a mix of racial stereotypes of the respective region you are surveying, percentage of the population, and how women/men all over the planet, on average, want the same things in a man/woman. White men, on average best match that ideal man for women, and asian women on average best match the ideal woman for men. But the other factors are at work too. In my country, asian women make up ~1.5% of the population and of all the men i have ever met, only one had a thing for asian women, all others preferred white women who make up ~95+% of the population.

There is no moral judgment in that data. The judgment comes from the journalist at Quartz and the left wing sources who picked up on it. Why would women try to discredit a study that shows they like attractive men and don't respond to unattractive men? It's left wing ideology that paints people as morally wrong for having preferences for sexual/romantic partners that go along lines that include race, gender, all the -isms. If you don't subscribe to wokeness, there is nothing to discredit about the findings, only about the methods, if applicable.

Lastly, you will always find someone who will discredit a study. Any study. And they will be the most motivated to comment on that post. It's a biased sample to look only at comments on posted studies. It's a huge error to go from some extreme women who post on reddit to "women". Also, men here usually attack women's moral standing with the "studies" they post and the results they draw from them. What do you expect if you attack 50% of the population with a generalized statement that is loosely based on some study? Some people fight back!
