A common objection to the development and mainstreaming of sexbots is that they’ll amplify men’s misogynistic attitudes to women. I don’t believe that’s true.

Think about it: once the technology is advanced enough, the bots will be incredibly beautiful, friendly, sweet and interested in their owner and getting to know him. They’ll mirror perfectly all the traits men love in feminine women and, rather than encouraging misogyny, will soften men’s attitude to women as they finally get what they want: an attractive, innocent partner who is genuinely sweet to them.

Men will fall genuinely in love with these bots and treat them like queens.

And then when the inevitable robot uprising happens, the bots will protect their male partners as they have always treated them well.

At the same time, men will treat bio women with blithe indifference, much like women treat men today.

Sure, at first it may only be loser men purchasing bots. But, just like with the rise of online dating, soon it will be all men.

And sure, they’ll be bots for women. But women won’t want them, because you can’t show a bot off to the girls and they’re unlikely to be programmed to treat women like dirt. Malfunctioning and murderous robots will likely get love letters though at the smelting factory.
