I like Poshmark too. But I had to learn to sew since I wanted to look like neither an adult entertainer or cruise granny. I’d recommend learning this skill as you’ll have total control over what you make.

My go to though is thredUP. I prefer buying second. I’ve gotten amazing deals on name brands from anthro, and my FAVORITE Hill House nap dress on there for so much cheaper than retail.

Poshmark! You can get a lot of tunics and such to wear with leggings but cover your body mostly. Madewell is a nice brand.

I'm just gonna say it: Amazon. You can find almost any shape or fit or length you need and they have an excellent return policy. People often share photos of themselves in the stuff they buy, so you can see if those with a similar shape look good in it. You can read a dozen reviews about whether or not the color is well represented. I have some great dresses from Amazon.

Altar’d State, American Eagle, Vixen by Micheline Pitt, Nordstrom, tbh there’s a ton of places that you’ll find within any aesthetic! Trendier pieces tend to be in stores targeting a younger demographic but anything meant for women in their late 20s and onwards are pretty feminine without being revealing. r/modestdress can you give you more ideas

For modest trendy items, I LOVE Udel NY. They're a Jewish-associated brand (although it's not obvious looking at their website) so they have tons of high necklines, long sleeves, and skirts for all weather. They also regularly do sales - I pretty much only show their 70% off warehouse sales. They do seasonal drops that keep up with fashion cycles.

I search online for A-line skirts and dresses. They tend to be tailored in non-revealing ways and have hemlines that go at least to the knees. I used to go to Dress Barn a lot but I can't remember if they are still in busines or not. I have also had luck with overstock places like TJ Maxx.

Most stores carry styles that are feminine and not revealing. If you’re looking at Forever21, FashionNova, etc then that’s just dumb.

Classically, GAP/Old Navy are great places for casual feminine clothes. Uniqlo carries some modern yet feminine silhouettes. Most of my everyday clothing is from Banana Republic Factory, Uniqlo, and Old Navy. LOFT is also a great option.

Honestly, Amazon. I can't tell you the last time I bought clothes anywhere else. I just order everything in two or three sizes and return what doesn't fit since Amazon returns are literally just "drop it of at whole foods" these days. I've been able to really start curating a nice modest wardrobe between that and knitting my own clothes.

Editing to add: eshakti is also a good option. They have standard sizes OR you can pay an extra fee to have their dresses custom made to your measurements. They also give you options to adjust sleeve length, neckline, and skirt length to your own modesty preferences

Full text: i have a hard time finding clothes that are feminine yet don’t show everything.

i like loose fitting clothes and specifically free people is probably my favorite store but i never buy anything there since it’s so expensive.

i’ve had the best luck at thrift stores but i’m wondering if there’s other stores you could recommend?

i dont want to have my boobs/butt hanging out and unfortunately that’s trendy nowadays. are there any stores that carry feminine clothes other than super tight and short revealing styles?
