The thought struck my mind as I read an article in the Telegraph titled "For the sake of our daughters, don't forget the boys."

Ignoring that the concept in the title is shameless male objectification, most of us are aware that the author's hopes are fruitless and that boys will continue to be forgotten as the marginalization of boys and men reaches a zenith in the West. At the point where it can't logically get any worse for males, this means that women will have to deal with the consequences of the marginalization of half the human race. We're already seeing early effects. Declines in manufacturing and increased reliance on the service sector are just continuing trends in the decline of the West as an economic power.

And honestly? I can't say I feel much sympathy. Karma and all that. If you want a more thorough analysis, this article by The Futurist is an oldie but goodie. *edit grammar
