He didn’t consent, her claims weren’t vetted

Rossley Jr.’s accuser admitted during the campus adjudication hearing that she performed oral sex on him without his consent because it was “what he wanted,” according to Ashe Schow in The Federalist, who has reviewed the full adjudication record.

This was despite Rossley Jr. having imbibed copiously with his accuser that night in addition to being on medication for his learning disability.

The accuser was shown to have falsely claimed that she escaped from Rossley Jr. by entering a key code she didn’t have to get into his fraternity house, Schow wrote. The hearing considered factual claims by the accuser that could have been easily vetted by the school but weren’t, and which Rossley Jr. wasn’t allowed to answer.

One investigator wrote “lie” in her notes when Rossley Jr. said he didn’t remember much from that night, and officials didn’t interview witnesses that had interacted with the students that night, including two fraternity brothers that the accuser successively “got into bed with” after she left Rossley Jr.’s room, according to Schow.

Rossley Sr. said in his own suit that the university forced his son, who has “word retrieval” impairments, to act as his own legal representative in the nine-hour hearing, while granting his accuser and her family more accommodations than the Rossleys.

Talk about unequal treatment. Jesus fuck I'm glad I graduated years ago. College is a minefield for men these days.

One of the worst experiences of my life was walking on a USA college campus and suddenly realizing almost everyone there was either foreign, female, or homosexual. Being a minority and not realizing it until you're in the wrong part of town is very unnerving, but I was grateful to get out of there before things got crazier, and they did indeed get far crazier than I ever imagined they could, and that trend is getting stronger. I am increasingly wary of visiting the USA for business, and if I can find a way to avoid it, I will.

Meanwhile, China is doing well. They value a prosperous society.

[+]badon_ -38 points-37 points-36 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I only saw the beginning of the craziness, before the rape card became a winning card in the USA. It's not so bad in Europe, and such things are exceedingly rare outside the USA's sphere of influence.

The interesting thing is devout Muslims almost never get played with a rape card. In Islam, it is considered immoral to merely be in a situation where a false accusation of rape could occur. Islam is very misunderstood, even by Muslims. I suppose you could say the same thing about most traditional things that people do just because that's the way it was always done.

Please step up your game, this propaganda is weaksauce.

[+]badon_ -10 points-9 points-8 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I realize you're being snarky, but it's actually true about the part for being lucky to get out alive. I do feel lucky that I realized something was wrong. A lot of people ended up in very bad situations.

Lol Chinese colleges are garbage.

[+]badon_ -18 points-17 points-16 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

They're a lot better than the education you can get in an American prison.

[–]scyth3s 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh how relevant

[–]badon_ -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Indeed. Men in the USA are more likely to be imprisoned than graduate from college.

[–]UncharminglyWitty 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

...that's not even a little bit true. The male incarceration rate is less than 1.5%. The male college graduation rate is 22%. I would say it is way more likely to graduate college than go to jail.

[–]badon_ 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That's only the MOMENTARY imprisonment rate (at the moment the number is published). It's like seeing the world through a microscope, and only when the flash of the camera happens. The USA government published the lifetime imprisonment rate in 1986, and it was so ridiculously embarrassing, they canceled funding and never published it again. In 1986, the imprisonment rate for a small fraction of the population, only prime working age men 18 to 29, was 1 in 3, or 33%, with some populations of black men exceeding 80%.

Since then, the momentary imprisonment rate doubled by 2007, which implies the lifetime imprisonment rate probably doubled too, leaving the USA with an imprisonment rate of around 66%. Once again, that number excludes much of the population, because it doesn't count imprisonments for people under 18 or over 29. It's entirely possible that almost everyone with a penis in the USA is shackled and/or caged at some point in their lives.

So, yes, USA men are MUCH more likely to be imprisoned than graduate from college.

If you used the "momentary" numbers, then only 300 people died in the Holocaust. See the problem with momentary numbers?

Edit: Fixed typos.

Meanwhile the rapist is "the accuser" and his name has been plastered everywhere. Of course.

[–]DirHR 55 points56 points57 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It is confusing as written. How about this: Meanwhile the real rapist is known only as 'the accuser' while his name has been plastered everywhere.

[–]youwontguessthisname 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Out of around 320 people, 2 people seem to have trouble with it. I think I'll leave it alone and let the 1% of people figure it out.

[–]DirHR 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it's cool.

[–]machingunwhhore 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or even: The rapist is "the accuser" and the victim has had his name plastered as the "the rapist"

[+]Onion_Guy -18 points-17 points-16 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

..I think you meant victim, not rapist

[–]youwontguessthisname 135 points136 points137 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No....the person who raped him is simply called "the accuser". Meanwhile the victim (the male) has his name everywhere in the article.

[–]Onion_Guy 96 points97 points98 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh. Pronoun issue then, sorry.

How did they even expel him? How would he have assaulted her while he is disabled?

[–]daymo 184 points185 points186 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I believe he's learning disabled rather than physically. He's about to be rich too, and quite rightly.

[–]AloysiusC 52 points53 points54 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I hope also that his perpetrator gets punished and/or he gets to sue her for compensation so she has to work for him for the rest of her life.

I hope he'll get so much money out of this that he could burn a hundred dollar bill in front of her every day and say "keep working, bitch" without a care in the world.

[–]badon_ 49 points50 points51 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Will never happen. Women as a group have never been held fully account for their actions, partly because their actions almost always involve lies for the purpose of manipulating other people to do the dirty work for them. So, a society is disinclined to destroy their women, and they have a good excuse to blame a man somewhere down the line and destroy him instead, if they can't avoid sacrificing someone to the gods of politics.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, my bad

[–]eskamobob1 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He already is rich. His dad sits in the board, he got in with learning disabilities, and has a good laywer. Chances are pretty good they aren't exactly poor as is. Glad this kid is getting a shot at justice though.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's probably the only reason he is. I have zero faith in our justice system. It's a lie holding society together.

[–][deleted] 55 points56 points57 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not all disabilities are physical. But even then, only the scum of the earth prey on disabled people, whether it's a physical disability or not.

But in all seriousness, I should start reading the articles.

[–]ponchato 142 points143 points144 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Wait, isn't this exactly what happens to women in places like Saudi Arabia? You get raped and then you get in trouble for being raped?

What a time we live in

well, there is a small tinny little difference... when this happens people smirk...

[–]Tamen_ 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It also happens to men in places like Norway: http://tamenwrote.wordpress.com/2013/10/09/man-fined-1-000-usd-for-being-raped/

[–]KingRobotPrince42 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

And I bet they would rather take the financial hit than be shown to not show bias towards the woman.

[–]Mode1961 17 points18 points19 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And right there is the main problem with all this. Economics, it is cheaper in the long run to just pay out these judgementa (usually in secret) than to appear soft on sexual assaults.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The woman sexually assaulted the man, this has nothing to do with being soft on sexual assaults, it only has to do with siding with women over men.

[–]AntiAbleism 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Some good news, maybe feminists and male feminists won't see the disabled, especially the autistic, as easy targets and sacrificial lambs anymore.

There have to be a couple nutty/impulsive/just plain bad people out of almost any group of 5,000, right?

It is amusing that Drake has two different cases pending against them though. On the other hand they're trying to serve two masters - the feds say that Title 9 means persecuting men, while the courts (usually) say it means treating people equally.

Go Cy!

Two weeks to go if you're into handegg. :)
