An important thing to keep in mind is that we tend to attract a lot of manosphere trolls. Whenever FDS gets accused of brigading, it's very seldom our own users doing it. Incel lurkers trying to shut us down have been keeping an eye out for any direct link/mentions of other subreddits here, click on the link, and then go be assholes on other subs. This makes it appear like FDS is the one doing the brigading, even though it's not our actual users doing it. These degenerates have entire Discord servers dedicated to planning coordinated attacks to shut down FDS, and this is just one of their many tactics.

This is why we cannot talk about other subreddits at all, to eliminate any pretext (real or not) for shutting us down.

Whenever I see a post that goes against the new No Brigading rule I report them, sometimes I inform OP to provide context. I really hate reporting these posts, all of them were sparking interesting discussions worth having where I'd love to participate. On the other hand reminding them is tiring and I don't want to draw any more attention to it.

EDIT: Thank you for writing this down again. I too think this post (or the original one from the mods) should get stickied. Like for a week or so.

it really is the only true female space. that’s why it seems like a third to a half of us are already in fine relationships and aren’t actively looking for dating advice besides “continue vetting”. you’ll just get banned from other feminist subreddits for posting actual statistics or anything that doesn’t kowtow to penis.

Thank you for not just telling us, but explaining why it has to be like that!

It would be a shame, if FDS would get taken fown for such a constructed "blah-blah-brigading-blah!" - reason....

I recently did the same mistake by wanting to mention a particular sub as an example - I really didn't think much of it other than that. But fortunately the moderation here works really well and the system was able to catch my post in time. The mods then contacted me about this and explained it to me - so I knew and won't make the mistake again.

They were (are!) really freindly and professional, at least in my opinion; so I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to our mods - I think we have an awesome space here just for us :)

I hope they will never be able to shut us down....!!

What about sister subs where we mention here ? Now we can’t mention those either? We know we get relationship related posts especially about porn here on FDS even if this isn’t what that space is for. Can’t we provide a direction to those subs? Reddit is really interested in controlling how women organize and communicate. They just want women to stay in the dark. That’s what this really is.
