You know...the one where ol' Marge Simpson stays home cookin' and a cleanin' and a carin' for da kidz. It was intended to allow a divorced woman to continue living a lifestyle to which she had become accustomed.

In most jurisdictions, if the couple has been married for less than ten years, most judges won't even consider spousal support. Dr. Dre has been with this woman 24 years. There's a decent chance she'll get the spousal support for 12 years.

Hence.....this is another one of many reasons why marriage is overrated.

The reasoning is that part of why he is worth $800M is her contributions to the family. Wether it's true or not, it's the assumption. Most states also assume that after 20 years, it's hard for a woman to remarry.
