To qualify, I'm a veteran of the Iraq and Bosnian conflicts. I was young when I signed up, but that was the whole point of being in the army. I have called a colleague of mine a coward, when he did all kind of tricks to get out of a deployment, but that was because he was happy to take the money and resources and then refused to do his duty.

In this case, if men don't want to fight, because they don't want to be blown up, then I see little point in trying to shame them. They haven't accepted payment to fight, they shouldn't be forced to fight.

If my country was attacked, yes I would defend it. That's my choice and I don't have a right to choose that for other people.

This is just terrible! Knowing that your personal information would be put out there for ANYONE to see just because you oppose going to war is very upsetting. I'm a pacifist through and through, I hate war and violence, and I'd be punished for having this stance of peace and love. I'd dread to think what they'd publish and how it might endanger someone's safety.

Let's say Ukraine collapsed in 2 weeks like we projected originally because 95% of the men felt how you do & ran over the nearest border. Now you're a mass of refugees, many penniless, in a new country that has to feed & shelter you, & you probably don't know the language so you're a useless annoyance to the locals for all but the most unskilled manual labor

Let's say you settled in Poland. Well, they're next on the list for Putin to invade. You running? Let's ignore NATO's presence, those are real men who are willing to fight. This is a fantasy world: Let's say 95% of Ukrainian AND Polish men wimp out and run across the German border

Now you've got 95% of the fighting age, birthing age & childhood age population of TWO nations hanging from Deutschland's teat. Well, Putin may as well cut the head off of the European Union & seize the ECB in Frankfurt. Where you running next with 3 nations' worth of cowardly refugees?

France? Belgium? Holland? England? Ireland? Iceland? Wherever you decide to go, unless there's men with bigger balls than YOU willing to fight for YOUR life, you're gonna have to get up and run again

You cannot, period, have a functional nation without men ready to fight and die to defend it

If the US abandoned the EU today they'd be fucked. The men are soft & weak from a century of Pax Americana. They wouldn't want to fight even if they had to, they don't know how to fight even if they wanted to, & they're not armed to fight even if they knew how. The German military will take another 50 years before it's ready for a war at all, & the Dutch military is a subsidiary of the German one. The EU outside of Poland is not remotely prepared to defend itself & is quite fortunate the Ukrainian Army is the third largest in Europe, after the U.S. & Russia

But because they're backed by the most violent, powerful military on the planet, they've been able to grow & stabilize into a worldwide powerhouse again after WWII destroyed their ability to even feed themselves. That's ONLY because thousands of brave, trained, strong American men are sitting patiently ready to do insane amounts of violence to the first Russian that crosses the border

That's why your "they're slaves" comment makes no sense. You ONLY have the potential to become a slave when your people lose a war or submit to a stronger power. Your nation loses, welcome to possible slavery

Wanna run to another nation? Are you gonna fight for them? What happens if they lose? Run again? Keep running until you're out of countries?

You can only remain a coward for so long, and you're counting on SOMEBODY to fight & die in a war you're running from

Running away only works if a few people out of hundreds do it. If the majority do it & no defense is mounted, then the war moves just as fast as they do, following them to their next location

I think a lot of men have the mistaken idea that they'll be safe to restart a comfortable lifestyle if they run from a war

They only feel that way because somebody's holding the line

The next time the line gets up to your Refugee Camp, run again?

This is the question nobody has answered: How long do you run as the war continues? When do you fight? Should anyone fight?

Because if nobody on the side of your interests is willing to fight for you, including yourself, you will have no home and you will be told your rights eventually, even if it's "no rights"

The price of your gender role is one thing, but the price of cowardice is far steeper

I can easily tell a woman I'm not going to protect, provide & preside for her while she refuses to cook, clean & cover. & it's only right that men feel this way & tell women we're not willing to do these things without equal effort

That has ZERO to do with cowardice, cowardice is a personal failure not a relationship power play
