Why you think that the LMS theory it's wrong?

Of course there's people out there who only care about looks, money, and status.

Is it everybody? No.

When I was around people like that, I was miserable. When I put all that bullshit behind me and found better, more genuine people to hang out with, I've been so much happier and successful in every way.

Honestly reading a lot about this and I think it is true to an extent.

You attract what you put out. If you value LMS as the ONLY determining factor of someone's worth than you will get someone on the same level as you i.e. Johnny Depp, Leonardo Dicaprio dating super young hot models and trading them in every few years

However, even with people that value "connection" usually they end up with people on the same "level" money and status wise because that's what they are usually surrounded by. If you go to college, you are probably going to date someone that is at your college because you are in college. And likely that person has to find you attractive as well. Ex. Everyone finds Megan Fox attractive but she probably won't find the average college male student attractive. So yeah you are going to end up with someone on your level looks wise because that's typically how it goes.

Usually, people meet their significant others in the same neighbourhoods, schools, workspaces, hobbies etc. which means you are most likely going to attract/be attracted to like minded people who are on the same "level" so to speak.

However, as far as red pill is concerned where they say LMS is all you need as a man. To superficial women sure. but that's a small subset. MOST people want respect, love, consideration and most importantly, CONNECTION. So even if you have LMS if you are a crappy person you will be surrounded by people that only value you for LMS and will probably end up in miserably situationships.

Human relationships are too complicated to have a black and white thinking framework.

When you were interested in learning how to protect yourself from covid 19, did you go to medical research results and your doctor, or to wannabe doctors on facebook?

If you want to learn about relationship psychology, why not learn from relationship psychologists, instead of... whatever RP posters are?

I have nothing to say about this made up LMS "theory". It's not a theory. It's noise. It's air.

If you want to learn psychology, my advice is to learn psychology.

I don’t believe it applies to relationships for regular people. There is pretty much only ‘chemistry’, which can be boosted by your traits but isn’t just those traits. Some people convince themselves that their partner is a status symbol, those ones probably are the ones who fit your small worldview but not your average couple, they just got to know each other and have a mutual appreciation and attraction.

My problem is the theory itself. How much money someone has is objective. How well someone looks has objective and subjective aspects, but let's treat it as "how close someone is to the beauty standards" which is mostly objective. Status, however, is mostly subjective (besides the cases where it's directly tied to money or power).

This leads to a situation where everyone in relationship that is not rich or beautiful is succesful because of status. And I don't believe in ideas that has these failcase scenarios.

I think it's wrong because my income hasn't, at any point throughout my life, influenced my dating prospects. Whether I had more or less money, it made no difference to whether I could find a date or not. Same goes with status; I have no status, and yet I get dates. Looks are far more subjective than you think; I'm skinny, make very little effort with my appearance, still get dates. And I know guys who are also by no means gym gods (fat/thin/whatever) and they also have dates, relationships, even families.

Do some people live by those values? Of course they do. There are people out there who would never date you and who would rather date someone who can spend lots of money on them. But they are not representative of everyone else out there.

Would I get more interest from women if I was more physically attractive, richer and more famous? Of course I would. But it would be interest from women who specifically value those things in a partner; the specific kinds of women I don't want to date because they're shallow and really only in it for themselves. None of those "LMS" values would make me any more attractive to the women who already find me attractive because of the various things that make me attractive despite being some broke ass average looking nobody.

The only real benefit that looks, money and status can give you when it comes to finding an actual true partner who is worth dating, is that it makes you more visible. It opens up more opportunities to create connections with people. It doesn't open up better relationships, it doesn't open up relationships with better women (unless you are also only looking to date for looks, money and status). It simply gives you more opportunities to meet people.

But you can also do that by...well just living a bit more of an extroverted life. By which I mean, you don't have to be an extrovert, but you can't expect to find dating success if you're just going to hide away in your room or sit quietly in the corner whenever you go to social events. You just have to actually get up and get involved and make some connections. That is just as effective as "LMS" in terms of meeting more people and opening opportunities.

LMS is true for some people, and it's true for you if you want it to be. If you only want to date the most physically attractive women who are wealthy and popular, then you're probably going to have to be the same just so you can even connect with them in the first place (ie by being in the types of places where these women gather). But if you don't make LMS the measuring stick of how attractive someone is, then you'll also meet women who do the same, and you'll probably end up with a much healthier relationship that's actually based on a mutual bond that brings you both joy, rather than a relationship that would fall apart if the money dried up.

It's just too vague. I could shit the ICS theory which states that the most important thing is shared Interests, shared culture and sexual comptatibilty (hetero men date hetero women) and that would be an equally vague theory that explains most relationships. Shitting abstract theories out of the void is funny when drinking around a fire, but it has few epiestemic values.

There are a lot of things I love about the West (immigrant from the East here). But I just wished people are being ok and being more honest that Look, Money and Status are important. Especially in having doors open for possibility of romance in the first place.

I feel that a lot of Western spaces are trying to do good by being inclusive and pushing for personality over everything else, but reality is that physically unattractive people have trouble dating, most people still cannot find fat as attractive, some races are still being seen as more attractive, money is important, having influence makes life easier, etc.

I wished it is ok to admit that and people do not get gaslit into believing in the inclusivity, all are invited and accepted as long as they have kind personalities dream train. Will it be great if real world are like that? Sure. But is it like that though? Nope.

Can't complain about pretty privileges, financial privileges, and influence privileges and saying that all those matter little at the same time.

OP, if you are in the East, the LMS is very openly talked about, so people are given clear choices on what they have to do in life if they want bigger chances for doors of possibilities opening.

It's not a closed question that you should be asking and this black and white thinking is unfortunately what a lot of men in Red Pill have an issue with, which causes a lot more issues in their life than they realize. The LMS "theory" isn't theirs at all. "LMS" is reworded from former beliefs that have been around for a very long time. It's a derogatory belief that's meant to devalue.

Unfortunately that belief can become toxic because it's not the ONLY thing women are after. Sure, some make it a REQUIREMENT that you make $100k+, then they've realized that you will not be able to give them the lifestyle they demand (say nails, hair treatments, massages, shopping allowance, etc.), but it's not the ONLY preference women have. Some don't even like that stuff.

Some were raised poor, so even half that is totally reasonable. Sometimes they're completely fine with just a warm home, meals, and someone to love by their side. There are a wide variety of women who exist and there is plenty of women who have other, more reasonable experience. My current lover and I started off making $7/hour and we're now almost at $100k. It's possible!

People who have very little experience with good women have issues seeing the other ones. Sometimes all you know is shitty women and that's enough for you to think that's how they all are, but that's not the case in reality. Sometimes she's only a 6 instead of an 8 and that was enough to keep her humble. Expand your horizons, or you'll continue to have a shitty experience.
