It’s not her standards that people are upset with. It’s her trying to reframe it as black empowerment thing which is weird asf after she got called out, clearly she was trying to move the goal post to save face. Her standards are her standards no matter how delusional or hypergamous they may be. Unfortunately all she brings to the table is her money and shitty attitude, any guy at or above her level financially won’t care about her money, and likely see her as an evolutionary dead end. She already fumbled the bag with multi millionaire before that infamous interview so her track record is tarnished for future HVM.

She can say whatever she wants and hold whatever standards she wants but this show what the RP says that women as a general rule even the high earning one what men to be even higher earners. That being said I find it funny that she's 39 and unmarried(her engagement fell through) like the RP said and I think the fact that she talks down to working class men is hypocritical classism considering than her mom was a single bus driver.

I love what she said! She set a boundary and everybody (mainly black men) want to bitch and moan about it because shes an attractive (black) woman and she wouldn’t glance their way because of their mediocre career. I also love how she responded to all the hate and essentially said she doesn’t give a fuck. She’s so real for that. Women need to take notes.

Iyanla is a pick me and I have no respect for her. Telling successful women to lower their standards and build with men who have mediocre jobs, like she didn’t play single mom and have three divorces. She’s the last person to be giving dating advice. Maybe if she took Eboni’s approach and upped her standards, she would’ve had a better dating history.

I didn't know who that was so i googled her. She looks like a " highly educated " high earner post wall women looking for prince charming who is just not coming. I mean look at her lol ! 39 years old with law degree and childless. Her standards are minimum as " good " as her preferably making more.

Well let's look at the man ! He would be 39 years old with a law degree who is also a multimillionaire like her ( google says she is a millionaire). That guy who is almost 40 who is a millionaire with a law degree has a lot of options. Now if he is in shape and above average in looks he is pretty much a CATCH.

He can date younger and more beautiful women since men usually do not prioritise a womans income. Think about it for a minute if you are almost a 40 years old man who fit the bill and want a family why not date a 27 years old lawyer instesd of her ? It's unfortunate but a high earning woman who is still single in her 30s will find it harder because her income requirements will limit her choices because of hypergamy which in this case works against them.

Good luck to her but unfortunately i do not see children or family in her future.

I thought it was great. If you take the time to become well read, dating someone who can hold a conversation is important. While organically 'savant' people exist, it usually does come from from education or a family that values reading.

When she used the term "bigotry of low expectations", a similar wording as Clarence Thomas, I knew what time she was on. The fact that black women are staning for a woman who likely believes any success they have is as a cause of affirmative action and not because they are the best at what they do, tells me everything I need to know about black women and the saviors they will follow.
