There are possible benefits for both sides. It eliminates the risks and burdens associated with childbearing for women, and men may get more legal rights and control (e.g. consent of both parents is required for infant termination) over their unborn children.

Gonna go bold prediction here. The first of its kind will only be available to the 1%. In the beginning women will laugh at it's existence. Haha don't worry they make artificial wombs now... Kekw. Slowly but surely it will become more economical to the masses. High SMV Women will start selling their eggs to make a quick buck. Men will realize the value of not needing a partner and that the upfront cost of buying eggs is wayyyy fucking cheaper than the family court system and losing half their shit. More and more affluent and well to do men start opting out of relationships altogether. Single fathers will become a new norm . The kids of single fathers will out perform those of single mothers by a wide margin. In terms of academics, lower crime rates, athletics, virtually every metric. Women will then switch from mockery and shaming to actively fighting against it. Those same young women who signed away parental rights and donated an egg for a payday are older now with nothing and no one to care for them. They will come out of the woodwork demanding that they get equal custody of the child and additional money for no fucking reason. They will spin a story of... I was in a dark place when I did that... Courts will eat this shit up. Epic legal battles will ensue. In the end I think judges will declare them illegal... To protect the parental rights of women.

No, women's groups will jump in front of any legislation that gives men the option of having children without women. They will influence male politicians to sabotage their efforts by using anecdotal "evidence," to dissuade efforts for single men to have children.

Anything that benefits men in a small way legally is abhorrent to women. Full stop.

surrogates. Don't know all the details, but i know it's expensive. You can pay a female to have your kid for you. And its expensive. 60-100k. There are companies that essentially act as pimps by setting rich families up with young women who are technically healthy enough to birth children. And some chicks do it for a career. I once knew a girl who had don't it like 6 times and that it was basically how she made her living.

A biological impossibility is not a "right". It's like you saying humans don't have the right to fly. A right is an intrinsic and ineludible benefit agreed upon by society and granted for each individual (or for the individual in question). For example, I have the right to not be killed by someone else

Society has not agreed at any time that men have not the right to have children. The correct way of saying it is that men can't have children, or are biologically incapable of having children

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Next all births will be state sanctioned, and kids/adults property of the state(like they try with custody now). We need legal equality in child custody, along with other areas. Not this weird shit. This eliminates parents all together, and removes a barrier between us and the state. Sprinkle in some eugenics and we'll have a mess on our hands.

It would mean the end of abortion. If there's no need to kill the fetus for a women to have " her body, her choice", then women will end up with the same rights as men... The right to raise a child she didn't want

Artificial wombs will be a game changer. However, they will be banned or restricted once the technology gets commercialised. Sperm donation and egg harvesting is common practice now, and could be seen as "the norm" in the future.

The potential is there to use pigs as artificial wombs, or have some mechanical system. Someone has already grown a chicken outside an egg, so the technology is halfway there.

As noted, there will be a massive backlash from certain lobby groups and it could be a issue that unites "far right Christian and Muslims" and "far left feminists"

Once an artificial womb has been developed, a woman's value is reduced to that of an egg donor.

From a technological and societal POV, artificial wombs would be a huge benefit. I mean it would stop women needing to take time out of work or experience discomfort to carry a baby. They could use their eggs and their husbands sperm and just have the baby grown outside of them. No need to birth trauma!

However, the sceptic in me thinks despite that appearing as a “win” for women, it would be opposed by them, because the fact women have to “bear children” is one of the biggest smoking guns in their stockpile - it’s the reason they alone have reproductive rights, it’s what they cite as “reasons why women can’t fairly participate in the economy to men”, it’s why they need special spaces and considerations as the “bearers of life”.

Once you reduce their role to the same as a man (you provide some part of yourself with your genes, and that’s it) they lose a significant portion of their power to claim oppression.

So in theory, you should see them LEAP at the opportunity it would grant, but I predict feminism would suddenly take a “traditional bent” if such became a real possibility and they’d start to retreat into how the “essence of a woman, and womanhood is the bearing of children”.

It’ll be interesting to see. Especially if they behave as I predict when considering trans women because it will further sever the bond between them, which is already under massive strain.

Women need someone to inseminate them too. For IVF you need semen too. Women have some advantages, but I would not worry about it too much.
