Indigenous/Pre-Columbine MATRIARCHAL civilizations want a talk with whoever voted men built it all...

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Only one has so far tbf. 9 sensible. 1 wishful thinker

[–]Ok-Emphasis4813 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well the truth is, only men/women cannot build civilization, there is always cooperation

[–]mammajess 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Insecure men steal valor from men who have done great things, and simultaneously diminish women's contributions. Their minds are too small and their emotions too unstable to accept reality. And these are exactly the type of men who tried to argue women couldn't undertake university study, join the army etc because they said women were "naturally" too stupid or too weak. They do this because they have to make reality fit their simplified views or they feel threatened.

[–]Ok-Emphasis4813 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure with the army, if i'm not mistaken there be only very few women in army if there were unified physical test requirements

[–]ShitFacedSteve 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

The only reason women and minorities appear to have contributed to western civilization less is because western civilization actively suppressed their education, discredited their achievements, and often gave the credit to some white man instead.

Even with those barriers though there are many inventions, contributions to culture, and science that have been produced by women and minorities throughout history.

[–]FellasImSorry 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And the shitty part is, society would be infinitely better if all contributions had always been welcome.

We’d be so much further along. So much better off.

[–]sensibl3chuckle 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What really shows the nefarious, devious talents of western civilization is its ability to suppress the achievements of minorities in countries that are 100% minority.

[–]spiraldinosaur 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

People who think men are the creators/inventors/leaders often overlook the fact that throughout history, women have been literally denied the opportunities to do that. From being denied education to being denied leadership roles to being denied the vote. Men may make up even the vast majority of historic figures, but they did so by denying women the opportunities to even compete.

[–]Ok-Emphasis4813 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The answer for chimps atleast is woman innovate tool use more so than males. I was just fascinated at how many men would fall for this tbh. Obviously men are half of the equation, but you've got to love their egos!

[–]goodboy92 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

This post is kind of toxic, dont you think?

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a genuine question from many interactions I've had here. Look at my comments history if you're wondering what promted it.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

We're up to 5 yes 12 no btw

[–]goodboy92 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Holy shit, I saw that post but was too busy to even read it. It seems like you did quite a thesis.

tbh I kind of vote for the unpopular option here since I can't recall a woman who has invented like the things we enjoy today, only Marie Curie. Notice that I am talking about science and engineering, the field of arts you have awesome cases. Feel free to give me examples.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

It's the guy that's just downright making up mygonistic facts, to me, with words I think he learnt from what I wrote, which has really pissed me off 😂

Well recorded history is throughout the male dominated periods if you think about it. Woman often published works under male names, such as marie curie using her husband to be taken seriously, so who knows whose wife really created something etc. I think your opinions understandable given that. But for instance, when Queen Elisabeth was on the throne, Scotland was ruled by a woman and so were the Pirate like clans in Ireland. It's just not something that's taught much. Forgotten history. Excluding the virgin Queen.

I'd argue tool use stems from being a weaker species then the other apex preditors. And woman being the weaker sex, it makes sense they'd create tools, as we see in chimps today. Also in chimps, culture (tool use) is passed from mother to child. So I know it's assuming. But assuming they mirror our early species in some way. Before our culture became so rediculously complex, It seems fair to say woman must of been crafty to pass on the initial skills, before an education system. Or men co-parented.

Massively up for a debate on it though . . .if you can't tell 😂

[–]goodboy92 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is anthropology right? Holy shit, this sounds kind of cool. Too bad that in my country that is not a popular career. And yes, the debate seems like inevitable but your point seems to maken sense,.especially because of your extensive knowledge.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, anything about human civilizations rising and falling or comparing our anatomy to fossils and apes is anthropology.

It's soo interesting. Like we might be gorilla hybrids. Recent genetic evidence shows. Allsorts of wierd awesome stuff 😂

This guys a great watch. Goes into human sexual behaviour in the most hillarious clinical ways, how were most attracted to our 4th cousins 😅 and how all animals work together based on "tit for tat"

You'll love it. Redpill lies I don't get why they're so popular compared to wierd ass reality we're actually in.

[–]goodboy92 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It seems I found out a new hobby.

And also, I have a hairy ass so yeah the probability of we being gorilla hybrids is kind of big.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You might be my 4th cousin because that sounds, hot. Awesome!!

[–]RedPillDetox 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not "men", it's SOME men. And SOME women also have contributed to the state of today's society increasingly more after equal rights have been progressively taking over.

You don't get to claim credit on SOME men achievments simply because you share the same gender with them.

Likewise, SOME men were responsible for a lot of failures, etc. You also don't have to take shame over that just because you share the same gender.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly don't let it get to you. I could tell them about female bias tool use in out closest relatives. Point out stickly patriarchal apes are the least advanced out of all of our close relatives.

But what's the piont? The results of this survey speak for themselves.

[+]veladem 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

This post is kinda bait af

It asks who "lead"s in "every" way.

Which is just way to broad of a generalization.

If it was; 'most' or 'many' instead of "every" it would make more sense to answer men.

Putting "every" instantly makes it a no.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Honestly. A frightening amouny of men here seem to believe this, that I've spoken to. So far it's about a 3rd that clicked yes. Believe it or not.

Also men haven't created most accomplishments either . . .you guys. You have impressive egos. But noo. Lmao

[+]veladem -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

You don't think there's a chance men created more than half?

Wut . . .

That's extremely unreasonable to be fair . . .

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link

In recorded history in the fields that woman were barred from ofcoarse men created most things.. But in terms of the history of our entire species. Ofcourse not.

Why do you think girls are outperforming boys now we're aloud to go to school?

Who invented baskets or baby slings 300kya? How do you think women are magically gaining ground in all sectors now we can enter those fields. Do you think we just magically gained an ability in them recently? Just Coincidently gained these abilities around the time we stopped being burned as witches for doing those sort of things? What a miracle.

[+]veladem -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I'm not talking about why it happened merely the facts of it . . . You seem distressed . . .

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Why do you think i'm distressed?

You just don't seem to comprehend the reality of our long history. Female chimps are pioneering tool use rn.

Infairness you seemed distressed at first, if this is your definition of distressed.

[+]veladem -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

1) Because you've gone into multiple paragraphs to answer simple questions.

2) Because you seem to be getting emotional.

3) Because spelling has gone out the window as well as sentence structure.

I just call it like I see it, and I am mostly incapable of emotion.

Edit: Wait, you just went from a discussion about humans to mentioning chimps . . . No shot . . . This is a troll lol

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I'm dyslexic, my spelling is consistently poor. I've got an iq of >140 I just have a lot of points come to mind.

Your caps make it seem like you're emotional. But I'm not emotionally driven enough to project my own emotions onto that. . .as you have to me. Personally I feel emotionally vacant. But I feel you just disliked the points which is why you tried to throw in the "emotional female card"

[+]veladem 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I didn't even disagree with the points lmao . . .

And I never assumed your gender . . . Lmfao

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Hahaha fair. I respect that 😂

[–]veladem2 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I was like, wait, wut xD

[–]Mean_Mechanic98892 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

. . . I win ;P x

[–]veladem2 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Indeed

[–]SweelFor- 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

This is not a bait subreddit

[–]KingKunta2-D 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

I just read this and I swallowed the bait. Just because I don't believe in red pill BS anymore does it mean I'm throwing away all of my knowledge just to look politically correct

[–]SweelFor- 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure what you're saying. What I'm saying is, this subreddit is not meant to make posts trying to "trick" people into something. It's not relevant what's politically correct or not.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

This sint a trick. It's an actual poll. Believe it or not that many men here believe this. I was fascinated at what portion. Even wording it the rediculous way I did about a 3rd voted yes. And this is a sub where men feel they're not mysoginstic

[–]SweelFor- 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

What is its purpose? It's for you to rage bait.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The purpose is a poll, 50 yes 100 no.

The conversations wielding my mind here are a pure entertainment bonus for me.

[–]SweelFor- 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

A poll is not a purpose.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

How? You guys seem to get so upset at girls for asking a question. Why arn't you upset at the 1 through of guys here?

A poll is purpose. Stop being odd.

[–]SweelFor- 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This subreddit is meant to be for productive discussion.

A poll for your entertainment is not a productive discussion.

I do not care if you are a girl or a boy.

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That's not what is said is it. Now you're reduced to twisting my words to offend yourself.

Finding out the percentage of men who believe this is productive. Any decent and reasonable person seeing this will realise he needs to combat some mysoginsts ideas.

But men here like yourself often combat woman illuminating the issue. Not men who are creating the actual issue. You're being very stereotypical of a rp male. Weak, to be Frank.

[–]SweelFor-1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You are not finding out anything. If you wanted to find out, you would be a researcher performing research.

I am not a rp person and have never been. You don't know me at all, and you've never read any of my hundreds of comments here, so it would be better for you not to assume such things.

Useless posts are useless, and should not be posted here.

[–]Mean_Mechanic98891 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

When you say "you are not" instead of "you aren't" it's a deception indicator. Just FYI.

A poll to you is very offensive and holds no value? if I wanted to find out, I'd be a researcher performing research?

What?

You clearly are triggered by the simple question. You clearly are mysoginstic to be so triggered and aggressive over a small poll. I'm sorry to tell you, but this I'm pretty sure will be obvious to most readers.

[–]SweelFor-1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't think you understand what you're saying

[–]Mean_Mechanic98891 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Re-Read it then. I'm not labouring for someone so rediculous

[–]SweelFor-2 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I read it but it has no meaning

When you say "you are not" instead of "you aren't" it's a deception indicator. Just FYI.

This doesn't mean anything. Your lack of understanding of this is probably tied to your lack of understanding of why a poll on a forum does not constitute knowledge.

[–]Mean_Mechanic98891 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Omg half voted yes now 😂😂

[–]shiftupshiftdown -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago* (15 children) | Copy Link

Just men? No Mostly men? Yeah

I do not believe in red pill anymore, I can acknowledge it is purely incel just trying to get chicks BUT most of the scientists, politicians, philosophers and hard workers in history are men, there are of course exceptions like Maria Curie etc. but doesn't change the fact its mostly men, this, however, isn't a reason to be against women or objectify them in any shape or form

edit: why in the fuck is this downvoted this far down? what in the actual fuck? are you really this far fetched and disconnected from reality? did women die on wars? was aristo a woman? were there more than 10 women in the entire NASA team when they sent astronauts to the moon? seriously the only argument you have is "but women was oppressed"? you are truely delusiunal and stuck in this echo chamber and cannot see the difference between ideals and what is real, I'm really dissappointed about this subreddit, I was expecting a rational conversation but this is just tipping the scale from red pill to blindly disagreeing over everything red pill says

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Marie curie had to use her husbands name to get her work published. You're not taking into account that woman weren't aloud to contribute in recorded history. Those that managed to did it under great oppression.

Do you think women have just magically gained skills enough to out perform men in schools. Coincedentally the same time they were aloud to go to school?

[–]path_walked_alone -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

I think OP meant to say that mostly men are innovators, but it does not mean women have not innovated and been suppressed. I believe in both, but whatever your beliefs are, it seems that notable innovators throughout history are most likely to be a man.

In my observation, it’s probably due to the gender roles of most of societies where men are more inclined to pursue STEM careers over women, of which either pursued people-focused careers or became stay-at-home moms.

Lets not forget the impact of the invention of the pill (which ironically was invented by a man), which enabled more and more women to transition from being stay-at-home moms to entering the workforce. This invention alone incredibly increased the productiveness of our species.

In this day and age we celebrate women careers and pursuits, but it does not change the historical trend of men leading the way of innovation. It’s not inherently a bad thing either, as innovation positively impacts both genders anyways, regardless of who it comes from. All love!

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

OK you've just added a lot since I said I agreed. the invention of the pill. The owness of reproductive responsibility and the medical side effects of preventing pregnancy being on woman with invention. It doesn't seem ironic it was invented by a man. You should see the whiney responce men are having at the invention of the male pill.

On innovation. Your only reference is recorded history where woman had to pretend to be men academically. And men tended to punish woman who competed (burn them at the stake) and also write iut of history. So it really isn't a scientifically valid pool of knowledge. Who knows whose wife really pioneered an idea ect.

Also you're not thinking long term. Look into chimp tool use and come back to me with with sex shows it more prominently. You seem to believe men are more innovative, in that parameter, it must be testosterone based and present in other hominids too right? But that's not actually what we see. Ironically you see the opposite in our closest cousins. Female lead innovation.

To me it seems men's drive to be praised and feel superior leads them to take credit for any found cool invention in the past and push other people out of prooffesions vs woman who are less likely to be able to compete on that front. I argue its nothing to do innovation skills at all

[–]path_walked_alone -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I agree there are many instances of men holding down women throughout history as well as hidden women figures overlooked as innovation. I was only speaking from a broad, general perspective of why I “think” we got to this point of men being mostly the known innovators.

What’s your point exactly? That men take credit due to testosterone? That men had a desire to look cool so they take credit from women?

I think this conversation is done

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm not really pointing that out. I'm simply showing your research data pool is unreliable. And no the point is innovation higher rates in men, should be present in other primate species if you're correct, but it isn't. Only aggressive behaviour is. OK wow. Seem to have touched a nerve. Bye

[–]path_walked_alone 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

This conversation is done because you’re giving examples like it’s hard facts, such comparing us to primates like chimps when we’re very different species from a societal standpoint

This conversation is done because you went to the conclusion that men take credit all the time due to quote “testosterone”. At this point there’s no point of arguing because you seem to have all the answers

Plus I’d rather spend the rest of the night off my phone and with family. Have a good night, all love

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah bye you seem too agitated and emotionally responsive to the logical discussion for it to continue tbh. So please do stop. No problem

[–]path_walked_alone 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

😂

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok?

[–]Mean_Mechanic9889[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don't disagree with you at all tbh. I suppose I mentally think of things going back to the dawn of hominins, where it seems like the only answer to our survival was innovation from all individuals, But talking about recent history I believe you're completely right.

[–]path_walked_alone -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That’s an interesting perspective if we’re thinking about primitive societies and hunter / gatherer societies.

One can argue that masculine traits stem from the societal needs such as a need for leadership, aggressiveness, resourcefulness, and protectiveness, of which (most) women find attractive in a man to some extent.

Modern society is an evolution of that primitive way of life, in a way, and can explain how we got to this point. Masculine traits aren’t and shouldn’t be inherently evil, actually should be seen as necessary to have in an individual looking to be successful in life. But it’s far too easy to uplift feminism by demonizing masculinity. Maybe one day we can live in harmony

Hunter/ gatherer is a fallacy. It might be what we see in africa post sapian globalisation but woman and men are actually completely interchangeable. Men burn brightly but burn out quickly, Woman burn at a consistent temp for a much longer term. Both has their plus and con in each task.

How do you explain the warrior woman in Turkey buried with swords, bows and arrows and bowed legs from riding a horse for most of their life Vs the woman of Turkey today? Although you're not entirely wrong on a hormone basis men are more aggressive and dominant. Chimps are more aggressive and dominant than us. And they can't compete. That's not how we succeed in the human world. We use inteligence and cooperation. Not even arguably the main trait of our species is cooperation on a massive scale. Which sex in your view would pioneer that?

On woman and men getting along. There were no issues, well some ironing out of past poor laws on each side left over from bleaker days, deffo but overall we were cool. It's only recently the backlash of generally low functioning men who are upset they can't have special treatment over woman anymore that's causing this stuff now.

Allow us to reach as high as we like. Unfortunately regardless of how superior in innovation etc men believe themselves to be. They dislike woman being able to compete it turns out.

I think you completely missed my point and that’s ok

Also hunter/gather is not a fallacy and I also never said women-lead warrior societies weren’t possible. It’s all good

You keep getting emotionally responsive and saying the conversations done. So I'm not sure why you keep replying in a demeaning manner about missing points whilst clearly avoiding the points I raised. It's fine I aggree you can't continue too

Edit: stop editing your comments after people reply.

I will add in computer sciences etc men are trail blazing. I'm more thinking holistically on a large timescale.

Listen I'm not going to deny history because it's misogynistic. Patriarch Men did not allow women to lead from the front. I understand matriarchal societies existed. But they were all genocided and co-opted by the evil imperial patriarchies.

To answer directly they did, But I'm sure a lot of the inventions that were credited to white men were researched and developed by people of color and women that never got the credit they deserved. I'm sure of that. But if you look at the way things are in modern times now I don't think women should to take credit for leading us up to this point.

In recorded history men totally look way better. And in fairness did a lot more. But history's a lot longer. our species has been around for 300ky our genus Homo roughly 3 million years or more.

Africa and Europe are seperated by 200- 50ky beforr reconnecting (that we know of currently) it's pure vanity on the part of the winning during the late 2kya period, to think each era of history is the same as what we've seen now.

Carthage is an ancient African empire that was finally taken down in a sea battle by the ancient medditerane, Unfortunately as africa became dryer it couldn't sustain the enpires it once had. Which is a large part of their loss. Even looking at ancient history africa was more advanced a blink of an eye ago. In Evolutionary terms

I just think the focus or the last pathetic amount of time is why there's so much misunderstanding and ego here. Taking the last 2ky as exactly how humans have always been. Does down everyone accept white men, doesn't it.

For most of human history? Sure.

In every way seems hyperbolic though.

In my mind people just did what made sense and that became tradition.

Tradition without reason is restrictive.

So I get why feminism is a necessity.

However I have to remind you, that a big part of women having rights is that men sympathized with women.

Men act as the mob enforcers of society. They are raised in a way that is for lack of a better word emotionally abusive. To view each other with suspicion and as threats. The only place where brotherhood can exist is probably the military.

There job is to defend whatever they are taught is important. It could be religion, it could be a way of life, it could be a country it could be their family.

As social consciousness grew to give rights to larger and larger parts of the population, due to men's functional understanding of the need for equality and in no small part thanks to the suffragete and the feminist movement.

But make no mistake, women are free because men and women worked for it. And if men chose to be a part of an oppressive regime for any reason - for God, king or country - they would without showing emotion oppress everyone. (Case in point - Afghanistan, Russia, china)

I mean, the majority of inventions and leaders were male, but a handful of men. Other men and women helped build society and move it along. Those greats couldn't build it without other's help.

That's it. Societies a collaboration. A leader is nothing without a government etc. And glamorous, praised roles can't be done without mundane jobs being taken care of. Glad to hear your thoughts.
