I agree with the book to an extent. There is no such thing as reverse racism or reverse sexism. There is no reverse bigotry.

There is just entirely normal, everyday, honestly pretty boring and standard normal racism, normal sexism, and normal bigotry.

I would not patronise women by suggesting they are any less capable of it than anyone else.

In a wider sense, honestly, anyone taking Robin DiAngelo seriously is the architect of their own downfall.

That's a pretty bold claim to make given how there are more women than men and thus they have more "Political power" than men as they hold more power to vote in those whom they agree with or who align with their views..

Women also have many economical advantages given to them by virtue of their gender.. be they scholarships, business grants or the fact that while men pay more in tax, women have more access to tax based safety nets than men do.
Women also have economic power when it comes to divorce and alimony..

The same holds true for institutional power, Alimony / Divorce applies here. not to mention the power women have in the criminal justice system.. especially with pushes to throw out due process when it comes to rape and to replace jury trials with judge only trials..

Judge only trials where in not only does the defendant have next to no avenues to question his accuser, but the judge is also specially trained in feminist dogma..

Yeah.. I don't buy it for a second!

Wtf! Women do have political, economic, and institutional power. The majority of eligible and active voters are women in America and in most countries worldwide. Additionally the majority of wealth in America is owned by women (including stocks and bonds) partly because they typically outlive men. Even if women were the minority of voters or held a minority of wealth in America that doesn't mean that they would hold 0 power whatsoever. These brain-dead misandrists see everything as Black and White with no middle ground. There is a range between 1 and 100. If women held 41% of "power" in America that would mean they still hold significant power even if it is less than that of men. Anyways there are different groups of women and men and individual circumstances with many exceptions. Misandrists forget about intersectionality when it serves their interests. White women hold significantly more political power than Black men yet the majority of White women who voted in 2016 and 2020 voted for Donald J Trump and Republicans meanwhile the majority Latino, Black, Asian, American Indian, and Pacific Islander men who voted in 2016 and 2020 voted for Hillary and Biden respectively and Democrats. So much for there being a "patriarchy" more like a Whitearchy. That's despite all of Trump's misogyny and sexism towards women and the fact that Republicans are pro-life. Last time I checked statistics showed that the majority of heterosexual households had the woman as the main decision maker rather than the man. What about that power? Women hold many types of power that men don't have including using social norms, biases, stereotypes, and traditions that favor women over men to their advantage such as the gender empathy gap.

Feminists conflating sexism and racism just serves to get white women off the hook for their own racism. Women were never segregated in society the ways in which black people were. Ever notice how women will write a piece about such and such oppression and will put women of color in an aside? For example, blah, blah the gender wage gap is so unfair to women (worse for women of color). Any so-called disparity or inequity will be treated as such by most white feminists and women journalists or academics.

Most any social scientist would (should) agree the domestic sphere is a social institution that women historically have had disproportionate influence over. But, their influence and power has never just rested there. The school is another social institution, and women far outnumber men in the power and influence there. In many disciplines in the university, women outnumber men. In my own career, 90% of my superiors have been women. Similarly, nearly the same proportion of my teachers in my education have been women. Is that not power? Is that not influence?

And, that's not even to mention women's role in other institutions such as the media, psychology, and the law. For example, our supreme court is now majority women. Power doesn't just happen at the top or with a simple majority. Certain individuals and groups have long have disproportionate power. Power also plays out different at different scales. There's power in the classroom between one instructor and the rest of the classroom. There's power between a parent and children. And, yes, there's power between the government and its citizens. But, with a government that has specialized initiatives just for women, I'd hardly say it's oppressive toward them.

Patriarchy is a Black Box. Feminists claim that it oppresses them with all its cultural&institutional tentacles but they can never explain how it works and break it down to its most basic components.
