I don't think social issues should be gendered, period. Not stranger violence, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, suicide, divorce, parenting, health, addiction, loneliness, joblessness or homelessness. And I'm not about to stop caring about women because society lacks empathy for men. It shouldn't be a competition. I have a wife and two children, a young man and a young woman. I love and care for all of them.

I don't know if I'm welcome here. But my brother committed suicide and I'm now a huge supporter of men's rights. Truthfully it's not a "men's problem" that this is happening it's an everyone problem.

No one should feel like this is a solution and for some reason society seems to let men slip through the net way more often

But I am sure these statistics are fake, after all they want equality so they raise the numbers to prove us we are the same and to just have another reason to complain about how patriarchy is ruining their lives lol

Wait until they find out that men die 6 years before women on average because we carry the load and stress, of mortgage,health care, college, cars, holidays, commutes, custody payments, alimony, debt and going to a toxic unfulfilling dangerous/stressful competitive work environment. Look, I get your point, but there has been a lot of outreach in recent years to help men with their mental health, in fairness. I myself struggle with the idea of therapy because of outdated social norms about masculinity (even my dear mother has asked me multiple times if I am "a man or a mouse"), but feel more comfortable about the whole idea now because of encouragement from other men AND women in my life.

Basically, we don't need division on this issue. Every suicide is obviously a bad thing and a report like this isn't necessarily meant to mitigate the issues we face as men, but to appeal to women who are also struggling and advise them to seek help.

Edit - Downvoting this comment because I advocate treating men and women equally or because I suggested some men don't take the issue seriously? Either way, that's borderline incel behaviour.
