If we assume that men don't love women as much, it goes against certain widely cited statistics on impact of breakups and divorces on men.

There’s a huge difference between loving a person and hating a lack of access to sex and companionship.

My ex-boyfriends who have been the most miserable after our breakups were often the ones who were the most unkind and uncaring during the relationship.

Disliking being single is not a measure of having loved your ex.

So I work in healthcare and the first article is consistent with what I’ve seen. Additionally I’ve seen countless cases even after a divorce where the ex-wife is actually the primary support/medical power of attorney for a critically ill male patient and takes care of him. This is AFTER their divorce. In a lot of these cases the man is actually sick because of his own substance abuse issues (alcohol abuse leading to liver failure, smoking and COPD or cardiovascular disease, meth/cocaine/opioids). One could infer that the substance abuse probably contributed to the divorce that was likely initiated by the woman but she obviously still loves him if she returns to help him in his time of need. I’ve only seen one case in a decade of working in hospitals where the ex-husband was the woman’s medical power of attorney. There’s also studies that show men are more likely to leave their partner after a cancer diagnosis than women are.

This isn’t to say that all men are bad and don’t care about their partners. I’ve also seen lots supportive male partners and many men do donate organs to their loved ones. The issues leading to divorce are complex and basing who loves more based on who is sadder/lonelier after a break up is flawed.

i'd argue that the latter is a flawed assertion-- you can love someone very much and still divorce them if they e.g. refuse to work on their issues, treat you right, or compromise on important aspects of a partnership.

for the former, though-- assuming women don't love men as much would be contradicted by the fact that studies tend to show that longevity and happiness increase for married men while they decrease for married women, or by the fact that a woman is much more likely to be abandoned by a spouse in the event that she becomes ill (while the converse is untrue).

either way, though... i don't think you can entirely generalize as to which sex 'loves the other more'. it's probably approximately equal, but i believe men and women are socialized to express feelings of e.g. love differently, and there are issues with quantification-- do we count feelings of love or only caring behaviors? how would one give proper weight to those? do we separate 'love' from 'loyalty' or 'understanding' or any number of other qualities that are, ideally, components of love-- does 'love' have to be perfect, complete, and healthy to count? are we counting relationships in which one or more parties are infatuated and generous but also toxic as loving or no? are we scoring love based on degree of compatibility? degree of lust-- are those factors? and so on.

I think in general men love women a lot more than women love them.Whether is is love or lust or biology that is debate for another day Women love seems too conditional.You need to have this that this that so much that it seems to be agreement .Main reason could be desire gap .Women don't desire men like men desire women .For women top guys>> all women >> bottom 80% guys and how many instances occur where organ donation comes into scene? Divorce occurs at 50% so it's quite widespread and men initiating relationships marriages kiss sex while Women initiate divorce breakup dead bedroom

Try your best using google to find examples of a woman risking her life to save her husband or any male she is not genetically related to

You will have trouble configuring a search to return any/much because the algorithm will give 100s or 1,000s of stories of the opposite (man saving woman) because it is so much more common

I’ve tried this multiple times, even if you can find women saving men the results will still contain mostly the converse

Women can love men that are not their sons or otherwise genetically related, but it is usually a different type of love than a man feels

I don’t think it is as intense

But it is different enough that it often doesn’t really feel like true love to the man receiving it, maybe that is why it doesn’t feel as intense

Men love a woman like we will die to protect you

Women love a man like she’ll bring him a cool drink from inside while he is on a ladder painting their house all day in the summer heat

It's not love!

About de divorce:
The person who initiates the legal process of divorce is not necessarily the one who caused the divorce. A woman who divorces because she is cheated on by her husband is not the cause of the divorce, in this case the cause would be the husband.
