Oh, dear me.

I'm sure a fair lot of you have encountered the word "womyn". It is a feminist spelling which was created in order to omit the word "men" from "women", except... it is staggeringly stupid, because the "men" in "women" means "human"!

In Old English, the word "mann" (from which modern "man" is derived) meant human or person.
For male and female, we had "wer" and "wīf", respectively. "Wīf" was added to "mann" to create the compound word "wifmann" ("female person"). This became "woman". There was also "wæpnedmann" for "male person", as "wæpned" was also used to describe a male. "Wer" survives in the word "werewolf" (literally "man-wolf").

"Mann" only ever meant a human being, not an adult male. It only started being used for the latter definition very rarely in the 12th century. Even in the 20th century and (rarer due to the need to be PC) today, "man" is used to mean all people; "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

In essence, due to these feminists refusing to educate themselves on the etymology of their own word, they have erased "human" from the word "woman", which definitely gives the wrong impression; it implies women aren't people.
