I have PCOS and a high sex drive. However I wouldn’t say I’m a tomboy at all - I’m the most hyper feminine person I know. 65-70% of my wardrobe is pink and dresses, I like cutesy things, stereotypically “girly” things… I even dyed my hair corporate-friendly pink to go with my strawberry shortcake x fairy princess aesthetic.

However that being said I have “masculine” hobbies too, like video games and target shooting. I largely specialized in research within my career field, but I don’t know the gender demographics of that anyway so I can’t say whether it’s more masc oriented.

But I honestly don’t think that has anything to do with PCOS more than it is just environmental factors that influenced my interests. Women who have PCOS also vary a lot and symptoms range as well.

Interesting 🤔 I didn’t have PCOS but endometriosis. So I had to get my hormones tested sometimes because of that and found out I had more testosterone than is normal range for a woman. It probably influenced my sex drive and perhaps made me better adapted to be around men. I ended up working in a competitive male dominated field most of my life. I’ve never been lonely for male company and now I’m the rare woman who lives among a whole bunch of passport bros.

Maybe you’ve found a niche that works for you personally.

Is this the same syndrome where they have to take birth control pills because period pain is so unbearable or something like that? Because that's been a common thread with my past as well.

I have a somewhat similar experience.

I've been in relationships with 2 PCOS women, and run across them intermittently casually over the years.

(1) yes they tend to be easier to interact with than normal women. to the point where I've found myself shocked that they were interacting with me in a linear fashion, making points in much the same way I would. cool stuff.

(2) yes they tended to have way higher sex drives. one ex gf and me were constantly at it for nearly the entire 2 years we were together. they also really get into sex in a way that more feminine women don't, as in it's a bit uglier, rawer, but pretty intense. cool stuff.

(3) Drawbacks: definitely more quarrelsome and argumentative in a relationship setting. more extroverted which more or less can be annoying, mainly because if we both took the same car somewhere and she's buzzing around talking to people 20 minutes after I wanted to leave

(4) Probable difficulty conceiving and having kids altho I did get one of the pregnant (accident) she miscarried.

The difference is so profound that I now actually look for women with PCOS to date.

Certainly a way to go. I'd imagine if you're a 'low n-count' or bust guy tho, that'd be tough because on average I'd imagine they'd have more partners and have a more casual approach to sex.

Like one ex gf had had a pretty high amount of partners. To be fair, the other one had had a lower than average amount of partners.

Higher testosterone levels are not proven to increase logical thinking. Indeed, there's stronger evidence that they can increase aggression and impulsivity, which is the opposite of being logical. In other words, I think this is a case of confirmation bias based on your own sexist assumptions that have no ground in truth, possibly combined with some coincidence about the women you've dated.

Fat women tend to have higher sex drives than skinny women. They probably need the validation more since society makes them feel undesirable (like society makes men feel undesirable)

Women with PCOS have higher levels of testosterone. As a result, they often have much higher sex drives compared to most women. In addition, they seem to think a bit more logically like a man. They often have similar interests as men too - almost like a tomboy.

Can you reference this, please? I can find articles agreeing that increased testosterone levels are frequently a feature of PCOS but I can't find one that says it causes increased sex drive or more logical thinking. And for hirsutism, acne, BMI increase I'm finding as many that say there's a relation as say there isn't.
