Throw some smoke and annoy someone VS cause grievous bodily injury requiring surgery and close inpatient burns unit care with possibly of infection/life long complications + mental suffering for being permanently disfigured while once a normal, average person who just had their entire life derailed and live with the gripping reality of trying to stay happy enough to not end your own life because of the mental anguish you’ll have to suffer for another 50-70 years of tormenting life. While grappling with the possibility that you’ll be blind for the remainder of your natural life. Hmm

Yes, dry ice can in theory cause frostbite. To cause injuries it would have to sit against the skin for a couple of seconds.

It is a solid and in that situation I would expect it to mostly bounce off and I would not expect it to cause an injury.

If a chunk of it went down his shirt and was stuck against his skin, it might cause a small area of frostbite, depending how big a chunk it was. It's usually supplied as pellets about 10mm by 20mm which, individually, would probably not cause a massively serious injury.

Talk of plastic surgery and huge disfigurement is extremely unlikely unless it was also boiling water, which it might have been. It's normal to put dry ice into hot or warm water to encourage it to sublime into the air and create mist effects.

Yes, that would still be an assault. It would be an assault even if it were a pan of comfortably warm water.

I think, especially for MR activists, the focus should be on when men are not the initial instigator or aggressor. In this case, he was.
