You are misunderstanding what they mean by being "used". Let me give you an example from a male perspective.

You meet a girl, you flirt and have a nice connection. You later call her to ask her out on a date. You decide that she is quality enough to splurge on a nice restaurant and a show after. You go all out, pay for everything and as you get out of the car to drop her off, you decide now is the moment to go for a kiss. And just as you are about to do it, she offers her cheek and says "Hey, Johnny, it was really great spending time with you and I appreciate you listening to me go on about my sick dog, my problems at my job and my mom being mad at me for spending $500 on Botox, but....I only like you as a friend".

Ugh, that feels like a punch in the gut, doesn't it? You feel used, dirty, taken advantage of! Now, we can debate who's really to blame here: maybe it's you because you had preconceived expectations and we're trying to buy her affection, or maybe it's her, because she accepted the date fully knowing she wasn't into you but just wanted a free meal. Ultimately, it doesn't matter.

So what happens when a woman has sex with a man and what makes her conclude that she was "taken advantage of". Well, a woman offers one thing of value - her sex - in exchange for another thing of value, which she assumes is that men sticking around and being there for her after they've had sex. So when a man sleeps with her and then never calls her, she feels taken advantage of, dirty and used. Perhaps the man promised something he had no intention on ever delivering (commitment or some part of continued relationship/emotional engagement with the woman) or perhaps the woman naively thought that if she offered sex, he would be obliged to stick around. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, because there was no clear communication of mutual expectations.

It's basic game theory. Women are incentivized to slut shame because sluts lower the value of sex on the open market. Men slut shaming isn't rational, it's generally based on envy because most men would be sluts if they could
