I usually do an observational opening like last night I started taking to a girl by saying. “Can you believe they don’t have a menu” I’m a new drinker so I have no idea what I want so I need menus to help but the bar didn’t have one which as dumb

That's what I do. Another approach was discovered by a guy who got the hottest girls to hold up a sign for a photo with him and his friends. He just said they are from out of town and his friend was supposed to come with them, but punked out at the last minute. He asks if they are from the city, and say they're very good representatives of the city and to hold a sign "WISH YOU WERE HERE". Basically says that they're going around with the coolest people and taking photos showing him what he missed. That's his opener.

When you don’t know what to say, just say the obvious. Comment on someone else’s attire (tastefully), something that’s going on in the bar, the freakin’ weather, ask what band is playing (if applicable), go in with your best dumb joke….point being: just say anything! Try to keep it nonsexual….at least not overtly sexual…it’s a fine line, my friend. Sometimes that dime at the bar is by herself because some guys get intimidated by that. All you need is a dash of confidence. Act like you talk to hot babes all the time. Walk in there like you own the place.

You spot a gorgeous lady. She seems cool. You're interested. You walk over.

Tap her on her shoulder. Look her in the eye with a big smile, gently*** cup her elbow, lean in and say:

She's going to say yes.

She's likely gonna be like..."sure?" The confusion is key. Her expectation is off balance. She's invested in this now. It's okay.

Say, "ok great. So, here's the line:

Lean in close. Be expressive. I know you have some gab in you. Use it here.

Look her in the eyes with a coy smile.

"Do you ever get mad when you look in the fridge and realize you're the only snack in the house, or is it just me?"

Give a nice chuckle. She's probably gonna give you a deadpan response, laugh, or rib you.

This is a PHENOMENAL ice breaker. It shows you're funny, you're a good storyteller, and gives her a chance to give you a witty comeback. Also, she knows you're hitting on her now.

If she ribs you, ask her for her best pickup line. Do a role play. It'll be fun.

I've done this a few times and it's gone well everything. Keep in mind, I'm a goofy, funny and charismatic dude. Yes, it's terrible, but a joke isn't funny because of the punchline. It's the delivery. I make it work. You might not, just try it.

Best thing i can suggest is breaking the ice in a non flirty way. Get them to do you a small favour like ask them to pass you a napkin, or a sauce bottle cause youre tables out, ask for a menu cause you cant find one etc. go off on your own business then come back and bring it up in a fun way and continue the convo
