I mean it’s kinda obvious what the problem is if you have any social intelligence.

You are a stranger asking random questions without explaining why you are asking those questions in the first place.

It’s absurd to start talking to someone you don’t know with a bunch of questions like you are interrogating them, when they don’t even know what the hell you want that information for?

Are you a kidnapper who wants to find out as much about her to make a crime? Are you a detective investigating her? are you a journalist doing a news report? Are you a cop? Why are you interrogating a stranger for seemingly no reason?

Don’t assume girls are gonna know that you are actually hitting on them if you go straight into asking questions without saying first that you want to hit on them or get to know them because you like them.

When you approach someone the first thing you should say is not a question, instead you should say something like:

“Hey i loved your style and i wanted to come and meet you, because you look fine”

Saying something like this first makes it more clear that you are hitting on her, and she won’t be confused about why you ask questions after that.

But if you don’t say why you are talking to her first and you start asking questions then of course it’s gonna be weird and uncomfortable even for guys.

Interrogating people without explaining why you are doing that is always gonna lead to them feeling confused.

You need to say what you want by approaching them, why you are talking to them, why you want to get to know them, and then after that has been cleared, then you can proceed with some questions.

Hate to say it, but (a vast majority of) women do actually know how to hold a conversation. If they won’t even engage in polite small talk, they’re either preoccupied or consciously dismissive.

You can hardly start a conversation with strangers out of nothing. You have to hook their interest first. You have to prove that you're high value enough at first then if they open up and start to ask you questions than you done your job well, they hooked so now you have a normal conversation. In order to get a hook you have to have a few things. You have to show why are you there so you have to show some intention. You can do it with a simple compliment but it's better if you're just have a flirty and fun vibe. Also you have to give them a reason to care. Even if she's not interested in you to get to know you, every person is interested in themselves so make statements of her instead of asking questions like you're so X just like y like you're so cute like my little sister or you seem to come from whatever location. It's more interesting and compelling so you made her curious. Your body language is also important like smiling, good eye contact. If you got those things right you usually get the hook

Could be the type of question. Instead of asking logistical questions about the girl and her interests, try to be more playful. I would probably lead with a logistical question to get some context and then try to joke or tease her about whatever it is I asked. Point is, don’t go up to a woman and interview her and expect results. Be entertaining, funny and Interesting and you’ll probably fare much better

You know what… never ask the ‘why’ and the ‘whats’ in the beginning. Ask them questions which takes them on a emotional peak or makes them feel more. Feel the energy and try navigating and escalating with that. This will be a much more successful approach. Rather than the analytical whys.
