you are scared because you are putting them on a pedestal and thinking they are above you. try speaking to them as you would a guy or anyone else that you can speak to freely.

Girls accept a lot from a boy, except for insecurity which is the worst woman repellent on planet earth. Forget about sex and having or not a girlfriend and interact with girls, as you would with a male friend; at the same time, be receptive of any signal of attraction (body language and double meaning remarks). Only if there is some kind of chemistry, make a move.

Talk to the girls. Practice in front of a mirror. If you approach them and speak to them with confidence and they will want to keep talking and interacting with you.

Excellent advice, right here.

The OP is scared to make a move: he wants to actually make a move, presumably that's why he's here. Commenter is talking him through different ways of approaching the situation to lessen anxiety.
What I'm getting from your reply is that any advice geared towards helping OP approach women is actually "the worst advice." Doesn't really make sense, tbh.

One (and imo the most effective) way to build confidence is to identify your areas of weakness and address them directly. Make it a goal to approach 3 women tomorrow or over the next coming week even if just to say “hi”.
wear something you feel good in
keep your shoulders back
prior to approaching think “maybe I will like her” instead of “I hope she likes me”
you know how people say “hi how are you?” like it’s a statement? You should actually answer this question. I answer this question often with “ I am fantastic”. Lots of people find this intriguing because they are used to “fine. You?”.
When I answer with something that communicates enthusiasm, some people will ask “why I are you fantastic” and then that’s a super basic opener for me to talk about guitar, music, accomplishments at work, visiting a friend I haven’t seen in a while, etc.

Your life is just beginning. Hit the gym seriously, take salsa dancing lessons, be smart with money, and you can be a stud by 21.
[–]spiderSlayerr -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Salsa dancing lessons Isn’t that a Mexican only thing like why would anyone do that. Just be normal is all you need

“why would anyone learn a lifelong skill that you can do nearly anywhere in the world at any age, that forces you to interact with (and lead) beautiful women, that builds physical coordination and confidence, and that many women find sexually attractive” 🤣 Also not a Mexican dance brother. The history is from Cuba, Puerto Rico, and New York, and it remains the most popular partner dance in the world.

Location is just as important as strategy of attack. Are you trying to day game approaching girls at cafes, parks, etc? Those are a bit harder since girls aren't exactly "in the mood". Or are you approaching girls in social scenes like bars, clubs, concerts, etc?

College
[–]Sandvicheater 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
College is one of those very grey areas. Some dude like college because its fertile ground for good approaches but other dudes counteract that if you approach too many women you'll be known as "that guy"

Find a reason to talk to her that isn't just "Hi. I'm Jack. You're pretty. Wanna go out?" Compliment something she's wearing or something like that. You might have better luck on the dating apps.

so many really scary things in this world & you're afraid of saying hi to some 100 lb female?
[–]passengerpigeon20 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That logic should be true, but unfortunately they can and will ruin your life through social exclusion or even legal action if you approach one who considers you offensively ugly (which is to say most of them if you are an objectively average-looking guy - although not all of them will be offended enough to do anything but reject you normally).

Practice talking with people, in general. Once you work on your social skills approaching girls will come naturally.

What is it that you're afraid of? Approaching involves a lot, for example the rejection? Lawsuit? Your ego?
[–]OLD_BUT_NEW_ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Lawsuits are pretty scary but I think it’s the rejection and ego mostly
[–]Few_Debate2784 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Alright so we're on the same page. Yes, rejection is external and your hurt ego is what you feel inside, therefore it is real. The way I managed the hurt is the same way as if you'd train for a match in any sport, or in the military, of for an exam. Where the pain is, is where your weakness lies. Going out and meeting women hurts, but you want it, sometimes need it. Do 100 crunches and it will hurt, run 10k and it will hurt, do an approach or 3 or 10 and it will hurt. Everything in life hurts at the beginning. The only thing that is under your control is how you react, so change anxiety for excitement, and rejection for accomplishment. Last night security of a bar expelled me and a friend for "making girls uncomfortable" (approaching), It felt ugly at first, but later we couldn't stop laughing.

The best advice I can give you is to start saying hi to 3 women a day, just hi, that’s it, don’t worry about what to say cause if someone told you specifics you’d probably forget it, so just focus on getting out there and approaching..nothing else, get comfortable doing that first, best thing is in the moment when you’re feeling nervous and about to do it just put your focus on getting a word out, nothing else.
[–]bigbodi45 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
talk to them like people. you can hold a convo with your female teachers , female family members , unattractive females. The same way you would meet a new dude. For example i figured out the way i say “whats up” or “whats good” works perfectly fine on females to. they wanna have conversation just like any other human being. but suddenly since there pretty its somehow diffrent for you?
