Hey whatsup.

I dont see the need to be more thorough and creative than that. Saying hey to greet yourself and whatsup to inquire what they are doing as in you have some interest in them and their activities. Then you move on from that point.... It is not rocket science >.>. And you definitely do not need emoticons to show expressions. Just call them if you both want to and/or meet up.

I am a woman; these are awful. If a man used these on me, I would be so turned off, embarrassed and they just make me go "euck!" Heres a clue: If you know anything about her, like if you have class or work or something else in common, ask her about that. Ask her about the project in one of her classes that she is really into. Learn about her interests and impress her with your knowledge of the subject. As far as dinky bar pickups, I, sadly, don't think I can help you. Those freak me out, too! lol good luck :)
