So here's my story.

I've been single for about 5 years now. Maybe longer, it's hard to remember. I had some major issues with chemical addiction in the past, so after leaving all of that behind, I didn't even have many "friends" (so called friends anyways...) around.

I knew I was royally screwed up and felt it was probably best if I kept my crazy ass to myself. I've been in relationships where the other person wasn't exactly mentally stable. It's just a poison that corrupts the relationship from the word "Go". Another problem is while I'm extremely thoughtful and a funny guy, I'm incredibly introverted and shy.

Believe it or not, No Fap February (of which I was a "graduate") really helped to get my head out of my ass. I realized how I'd become contented in my shitty existence.

So I found Seddit about 5 months ago. I read a whole lot of advise but was trying to absorb it through reading, instead of doing. One of the most recurring points was simply: "If you suffer from depression or anything else, get that taken care of before you even try anything in this subreddit. It can really affect your game in every negative way possible."

So I did. I started seeing a shrink and started on some medication; started eating right and exercising daily. My life has done a complete 180! My twisted self-image has started to level out.

The other major reoccurring theme was...JUST APPROACH! I was convinced I knew what the outcome of every interaction was going to be before it even happened! How insane is that. I only see NOW how crazy it was.

There were a couple interactions before yesterday, (Chatted up a cute pharmacist, talked with a girl at a bus stop) but things really started coming together yesterday.

I went to the store with a pair of sunglasses in mind. I ran into a girl (whom I run into occasionally) that I went to high school with, who now works there. We started chattin just catching up and telling me about her day, ect. Then her co-manager (Let's call her Kathy) walks up and joins in the conversation. I've got her laughing, looking straight into her eyes, GENUINE SMILES (Read that yesterday :p). I offered to help her hold stuff since she was trying to carry so much shit at once. At this point I chickened out on the Kino. (I still can't come up with a way to make it seem natural) But I stood there talking to them for a good hour. I pulled my phone out to glance at it, and my former classmate told me to take down her number. Now I think at this point I friendzoned her (A definite role reversal for me, no doubt.) since I basically talked to her about Kathy when texting her later. Classmate is attractive, but she has two kids, which is kinda scary for me just yet... But Kathy just moved here 6 months ago, single, cute. Bingo. I ask classmate to hook it up cause I'm still a giant pussy once I get past the approach phase. (Still no # closes yet, lol.)

So I stop at another store on the way home and there's a girl in the checkout in front of me with two bottles of wine and a pack of juice boxes. Easy. "Wine and juice boxes? Now THAT sounds like a party!!" She laughs, I smile. Simple! But a huge leap forward for me.

One more store, still headed towards home. Need lemons and bananas. Head up to the checkout and the cashier is pretty cute. She's looking mighty down though. (It was almost 70 degrees out yesterday which is unheard of this time of year.) "Hey Smiles! How are ya?" I get a smile, and she tells me how gorgeous out it was and how she's stuck inside, etc etc. Her: "Lemons and Bananas?" Me: "Yeah, I'm on this special diet where I can only eat yellow food..." She laughs! Looks me in the eyes, I smile and go on my way feeling like I fucking own the place.

If you took the time to read this far, I just hope it shows you that it's all about PROGRESS! Just keep trying and you'll get there. 6 months ago I couldn't even make eye contact with a female, now I'm chatting them up everywhere I go.

Thank you everyone of Seddit for giving me the courage to believe in myself. I now have the ability to get girls to see that I'm just as fucking cool as I think I am. I'll keep you guys updated as I progress seeing as you all are a huge reason for it!

TL;DR - Was a giant depressed pussy. Now can't stop talking to women. SHIT WORKS! READ IT! DO IT!
