Only makes a difference if you get close to them and they aren't already overwhelmed by other scents. As to how much it helps, it increases attraction a decent amount depending on the girl.

I think does not matter how the cologne smells, when it mixes with your own smell it comes out completely different.... ofc if you don't shower in the cologne. People are attracted to different smell so I think it is quite tricky, but if you smell like you take good care of yourself you definitely have more points. Science says people with very different sets of gene (therefore healthier offspring) are more attracted to each others scent BTW! There are guys who take care of themselves but I still don't like their smell and I think its because my body doesn't want to get attracted to them biologically. So I wouldn't think too much of it.

As a female, it makes a difference because we definitely notice it if you smell good whereas it could be a total turn off if you don't smell good because of sweat. Just don't go overboard.

From personal experience you have to go at it with a 50/50 method. 50% Natural/50% Cologne. Buy something that is very light and your natural smell can still shiny through wink wink pheromones. You want to put it around your neck and wrist area. It can make a great difference but only if the fragrance accompanies your natural smell. My ex was out with some friends and she smelled the Usher cologne. She said it instantly reminded her of me and she bought it as a gift. I still use it 3 years later.

So do some research and don't be afraid to out and and sample them. This is a good way of getting comfortable with cold approaches as well.

On the old 1-10 scale:

If you smell bad, it's -3 points.

If you don't smell, it's +-0 points. (Don't smell in particular. Your deodorant/soap/detergent will probably still have perfume.)

If you smell good, it's +0.5

I once dated a girl for a few months that constantly pointed out how amazing I smelled. I never told her what it was but it was just Old Spice deodorant. I always wondered if she truly loved that smell or it was some combination with my natural smell that drove her crazy.

A girl isn't going to want to hook up with you just because you smell good. Go ahead and wear it because you like to smell a certain way, but if you're relying on it even a little bit to 'help' you, then you should think about what 'attractive' really means. Girls might like it and it might give you a little self confidence, but there's nothing cheesier than a guy wearing expensive cologne just because he thinks it will attract girls.

What I found that seemed to work was a signature scent. Have one that is you. it can act as a trigger. hang around someone enough . leave a good impression and that scent is now a reminder of you and you are now on their mind if they come across it. Its used to reinforce you as long as you made a good impression. To begin with and when they see you again or smell you. Boom reinforced your presence

I personally prefer a clean, neutral, scent. I find anything that can mask pheromones is just a hindrance. It might be my imagination, but when an interaction is going well and escalating to arousal with a woman, there is a distinct scent to it. It can help, but only so much. There has to be an initial attraction, which can be bolstered by the presence of a notable cologne.

From the perspective of a girl - It especially helps if there's repeated occurrences as it essentially builds an olfactory memory. For example, I can't help but tense up anytime I recognize the Prada cologne.

I believe it's more about the person wearing the scent. A good scent is of course important, but it's more about the association. Scent memory is intensely powerful and if you've done a good job of attracting or exciting your partner the scent will trigger this sense of excitement.

It helps, it won't get a girl to want to date you souly on your smell but if shes already digging you it's always a plus.

Some tips.

Don't over use it. Everyone likes different smells but most girls would agree, stay away from Axe body spray.
