I went to Tokyo Midtown Starbucks, and an OK-looking girl sitting alone looking bored looked up at me as I walked in. I caught her eye but ignored her and went to order my drink. While waiting at the counter, stood back to the counter to survey the scene, caught her glancing again, smirked like I thought it was funny and kept looking around. Sat a few seats away and checked her, she was looking again.

Leaned towards her and said, "do you speak English?" She blushed and shook her head, so I said in Japanese, "good, because I'm trying to practice Japanese. What's a good book to read?"

She said, "eh, you can speak?" so I said, "come here." She came and sat next to me. Stood up partway with kino on her shoulder to help her into a seat beside me (NOT across the table. amateurs do that). Showed her a magazine I was reading, more kino pointing her at different text, "what's this mean?" (already knowing full well).

It was about 4 and the sun was starting to go dark, so I asked if she knew anywhere to get a bite to eat. She suggested a place nearby and we went. I ordered drinks for me and her, "oh I'm sorry is that OK with you?" and she said OK. I said I wasn't very hungry and probably should be going home soon anyway so didn't order food. More kino looking over the menu that we then discarded.

Said I needed to go, and was going to be walking back through the park and did she know that park? No? Well come along it's on your way back anyway. "Oh wow, there's a lake here I didn't realize. Doesn't seem like the middle of Tokyo, does it? So nice and peaceful." Staring into her eyes and went for the k-close. Lasted 5 seconds, she broke off, and before she could say anything I said, "wow, what are we doing I just met you!"

She said, "that's OK, you're so different from what I'm used to." I said I couldn't help it, but foreigners are like that, and I apologized for being too forward. She said "don't worry it's OK, I like it."

I said maybe we should get something to eat since we didn't earlier. She agreed, and I said I knew a place near my apartment. And joked that I wasn't trying to get her to my apartment, just that I didn't know the area well at that was the only decent place I knew (even though I lived there for a long time). She agreed.

While we were walking I talked about the Japanese study book I was using, ask her how to say some phrases I already knew, etc., and as we were passing my apartment on the way to whichever restaurant I hadn't really decided to go to anyway, I said, "Oh, let me get the book before we go, my apartment is on the way anyway."

We went up, and I used some conversation starters (photos, art, etc), got some more kino. Stopped at the liquor cabinet and mentioned a few exotic liqueurs I had, "have you ever tried them?" "No, can I?"

...and a few shots down then come the kisses and the final objective is won. She left an hour ago since she has work tomorrow. Left her mobile's email, no phone number.
